I was in living in Gary IN (15 minutes from Chicago) when In a Major Way dropped. Everybody slapped "Dey Ain't No" and "It's All Bad" in the whip that whole summer. Along with C-Bo, Brother Lynch, and Mr Doctor BloccStyle.

Only midwest stuff I recall hearing out there besides local artists was Common and Bone. Even GCI had Sprinkle Me in the rotation.

Chicago in particular didn't really start to develop their sound until '96 when Psychodrama, Crucial Conflict, Do or Die, and The Snypaz started poppin off heavy.

Exactly in the early nineties it was only the East Coast that wasn't fucking with West Coast Music the South and Midwest was flooded with West Coast music especially Bay Area Music
