Whose career would you rather have? Nas or E-40?

this is ridiculous

hip hop legend with accolades and sales but not on the radio last couple years vs local west coast legend who can barely rap, has accolades and sales but not as much as the former, on the radio worldwide from hoppin on mustard, yg, problem and iamsu lane and otherwise only on the radio locally.

come on. this is really a comparison cuz bruh has a song on the radio over there?

If e40 is local how does he have a fanbase in Des Moines Iowa?

If 40 was from Nyc with the new York accent niggas would be looking at him like Raekwon or ghostface. It's the way he sounds that throw some people off.

40 because dude got longevity longer than Nas in the rap game. He also has his own beer, wine, fatburger, record label. Dude is a legend

I won't choose

Nas is my favorite rapper after Pac

And 40 is a legend and has alot of respect out here.

40 is a natural hustler and been in the gamr for 30+ years making a name for himself.

He has his own beer and wine and drops albums whenever he wants.

40 created slang rappers use to this day. Of course E40 aint getting spins in NY they're biased af.

40 has respect from his peers and his longevity in the game is insane.

as for Nas he's made some horrible career mistakes like signing with Jay (after he dissed him) and putting out a FIRM album, but at the same time his Catalog is top 10 and is filled with classics. Much love to 40 but when people drop a top 10 emcee of all time list 40 isnt mentioned as much and Nas is.

Why NY is bias as fuck if they (really NY, NJ, CT) doesn't play one artist music? 40 doesn't get much play in Boston. Philly, Pittsburgh, VA, Delaware, DC, etc.

The Firm was a great concept, I think Dre brand falling off at that small period hurt the album, and post release the way the album was put together hurt the group.

I don't think this would be possible without a large enough fan base. That's a pic from Yo Gotti new video. Featuring E-40.

40 had a concert out here last year and i know many fans of his.

Was talkin to someone at the scarface concert a couple weeks ago who had 40 in his top5

What exactly makes him local???

We can ignore that local argument. Enough posters in this thread from different states have stated they fuck with E-40.

i can say the same shit about project pat, and yall would holler local, stop it.

local as in, only really gettin spins and hype like that where he's from

if we went by who niggas take pictures with, no rapper is local and they all have a fanbase.

Kinda hard to go Platinum in the 90's as a local artist (Project Pat). Wouldn't you agree? Its one thing to talk. And its another to talk facts.

its possible that pat went platinum strictly off southern sales

three 6 stayed with platinum and gold albums, but they never really even broke out like that until they won the oscar, then they were everywhere

perhaps a better word would have been regional but the point still remains. e-40 not on nas level just cuz that damn choices song is on the radio, has really made no significant mark on hip hop other than having an off the wall flow, and u need to stop.
