Whose career would you rather have? Nas or E-40?

I'm not knocking nobody for picking Nas. But if your only reason for choosing Nas is "Nas has more money and I can't understand E-40's malarkey", I won't count your post as a valid argument.

i can say the same shit about project pat, and yall would holler local, stop it.

Kinda hard to go Platinum in the 90's as a local artist (Project Pat). Wouldn't you agree? Its one thing to talk. And its another to talk facts.

its possible that pat went platinum strictly off southern sales

three 6 stayed with platinum and gold albums, but they never really even broke out like that until they won the oscar, then they were everywhere

perhaps a better word would have been regional but the point still remains. e-40 not on nas level just cuz that damn choices song is on the radio and u need to stop.

You're speaking on nothing but speculation. You really gonna try to limit Project Pat to the Mason-Dixon line just to make your point seem valid. Scust. And I think you're missing the point of this thread. Its not about if they are on the same level, its about 2 different careers, successful is 2 complete different ways. Which one would you take?

i aint limiting bruh, im sayin its possible

back then u know damn well you could go gold in one city, be it ny, la, or even memphis.

and the point of this thread is stupid as a muthafucka cuz not only is nas more successful musically and skill wise, he's more successful financially, who the fuck wouldnt choose nas. cut this bullshit out b.

I wouldn't choose Nas.....

You can't call Nas and say, "Hey Nas I wanna shoot a video in Queensbridge, can you make it happen?"

Nas doesn't own Sprite nor Henessy, which is the goat alcohol drink in the world. Once he's done with his contract, no more checks from them.

E-40 has successfully put out his own alcoholic beverages. Wine, rum, & beer. He can pass that down to his children. Which promotes entrepreneurship within the African American community.

E-40 has a successful indie label. Not really a factor outside of the west coast. But it's stable and has sustained itself and has provided a outlet too many people in the bay area for income and a way to stay out of the streets.

Nas is on his second label. Hope it goes smooth this time around.

Pretty much E-40 is a boss. Nas is a worker.

LOL at worker. If that's the case how come the worker has more net worth than the boss?? You mention all of E-40 business ventures but how come you didn't mention Nas co-owning bevel razors which was almost sold for a half a billy?? What about Nas owning Mass appeal records/mags??? What about Nas owning the rock the bells tour?? Shall I go on?? You mention Nas didn't own this and that but only mention E-40 owns this and that. LMAO at the biast post. Next time try to be fair and mention what both rappers own instead of showing favoritism. Peace!!

Yea i sure did. You claimed Nas to be a worker and for some strange reason you didn't realize that Nas owns a record label and is net worth being more than E-40. So I felt the need to remind you how wrong and biast you are with your post claiming one is a worker while the other is a Boss.

Its due to economics and location. Nas had a head start and being in NY adds a advantage over being from Vallejo. When XXL and The Source offices are located a short drive away, its easier to get that mainstream buzz. There was no Def Jam or Interscope records in The Bay Area. 40 couldn't drive to MTV studios for interviews as easily. He was with Jive most of his career. Punk ass Jive. But I've stated this many times. This isn't a thread about counting pockets. Its just about who has had more desirable career.

e 40 gettin hella play on the radio in Atlanta...not his songs but on features

He's featured on 3 songs in rotation right now...Big Sean "IDFWU"

Ty$ "ain't gon save her"

and Yo Gotti "Law"

my nigga

your main reasoning is e-40 is still on the radio where u live, and has his own label

respectfully, shut the fuck up.

xxl didnt even exist when nas popped off

yes nas had ny but e-40 was in cali when them niggas took over hip hop too, and didnt stand out one bit. cut this shit out.

The reason I won't pick is because even if Nas does have a higher net worth, you can't put a price on freedom of independence 40 has gotten to experience and he's still doing great for himself. For example, I would rather make 100k a year running my own business than slaving my ass off for 150k working for someone else. Plus it comes at artistic costs, like Nas wasn't able to put out Lost Tapes 2 because of Def Jam. 40 does what he wants. The degree of freedom Nas has had is something none of us really know so it's just speculation.

As far as businesses, I'm more aware of what Nas has going on because I follow him closer but I also know about 40's liquor businesses and I'm positive he owns a lot of other shit because he's all about the hustle.

End of the day they both have great careers and I would trade my job for either of theirs any day of the week.

You got facts to back this up or are you speaking from your own view points? Because maaaaany posters from different locations have already stated E-40 stood out and they fucked with him. And I can shut down this "He didn't stand out" shit with facts.

Fuck feelings. I need facts. Lol I haven't even seen you post anything good about Nas. You in here catching feelings and getting irritated about something you can't comprehend.

This goofy ass nigga

Talkin bout 40 got his own liquor, he can pass it down to his kids

Who drinking that shit?

Who passing down failed businesses to they kids?

Mass appeal got mannie fresh and is dropping dilla albums

Who on sick wid it?

Plus ain't destiny executive producer of illmatic?

Cut the shit, silly ass nigga
