Bottom line, ELITE in the true sense of the word is Peyton, Brady, Brees, Rodgers. A ring automatically put u in that class...in fact:

Rothlisberger, Flacco, Eli, Rivers, Ryan are NOT, and probably never will be, on ^^^^their level.

ESPN pulled a Devil-like trick by throwin out 'what is elite' and watchin people scramble. Its like askin what chicks are dimes.

edit: meant to say a ring does NOT automatically put you in that class.

Let Matt Ryan or Philip Rivers win a super bowl NEXT year...They'll get the same overnight 'oh shyt he's elite!' treatment as Ben, Eli, and Flacco got. The word 'elite' dont mean shyt thanks to the ESPN/'embrace debate' angle it gets

Elite aint elite if 1/3 of the QBs are 'elite'

And that pick was mosses fault.

You in the big game with a 6'4" frame and hops...that ball was catchable for moss but he just let the shit soar over his head.

Dude got full of himself early in his career and relied on his body instead of his brain.

And never developed that heart.

Off topic.

But they going in on Moss, saying that pick wad his fault.

I saw that too. With all the hype he had about his "vertical" (they were even saying he still had it in the offseason), I figured he would at least go for it.

But nah, that was one of his plays off.

Elite won't mean shit in about 3 minutes. Cause niggas who don't even understand the context of the word are dragging it through the mud.

I'm just glad the internet didn't start really popping til the late 90s. I would've thrown up reading this shit in the 90s and early 2000s...

"Mark Rypien is elite! Fuck the haters!"

"Jeff Hostetler is elite! Bum ass Troy Aikman will never win a ring!"

(1996) "Old ass John Elway. Nigga is NOT clutch. Check his Super Bowl record!"

"Falcons going to the Super Bowl? With who? Chris Chandler?? LMAOOOO!"

"Ray Lewis is good, but he'll never win a ring. Who they got? Trent Dil-who? Foh."

"Rams? Super Bowl? Not only is their QB not elite, he was in the Arena league 2 years ago. Foh!"

"Titans to the Super Bowl?? You can't get to no super bowl with no country ass HBCU QB. Kill yo self!"

Joe throw and pray flacco might have been the luckiest QB I have EVER seen in the playoffs. First of all the ravens should not of beaten Denver and Flacco is not elite. Never see a QB benefit from simple blown coverages he doesn't read a defense he just throws off his back foot to and prays WOW

Naw bro.... You don't throw 11tds and no pics based off luck.

I don't like to use the term 'elite'. I prefer to say who can lead their team to a Super Bowl win. I think that RG3, Luck, Ryan, Collin and Wilson all are possible future Super Bowl winners. The window has closed on Romo and Rivers. Stafford needs more play off experience and Cam has to start making it to the play offs. The NFC has a great cast of young up and coming star QBs. If the Falcons go back to the NFC championship game I expect them to be in the Super Bowl that year.

LOL no picks and 11 TDs tying Mantanna is lucky? If you actually watched football then you would have seen him go through his progressions and dictate the defensive pressure and coverage which lead to him picking the defenses a part. Take away the two kick off run backs and Denver never has a big lead.

good try tho!

ESPN is doing too much to elevate the QB position a receiver can run a perfect route adjust to a bad throw and run another 15 yards and they will talk about the qb.

The title of the thread is a joke 'cause this is the second year a qb said he was elite and won a ring. I really wanted to know who the next QB will be to claim elite status.

This actually isn't too far off. Joe just has the guts to dare the defensive back to make a play. Poor defensive back play was highlighted on these plays more than stellar quarterback play.
