Maybe to you homie. No need to go back and forth, its easy to see that you dont like Wayne. So basically this is just another "I Hate Lil Wayne" thread.

Getwitcha

I actually don't hate him, i personally think he was a better "artist" pre cater, dudes just says the most random bullshit nowadays and can't make songs for shit. Ask yourself, what does Lil Wayne really rap about? Shitting on niggas, how he is the shit like, etc. If he could put together his flow and delivery now and his content and song writing from Lights Out days i think he would be on to something.

1. Every rap album ever created is just a bunch of 1 liners? How do you think they write the stuff? One line at a time...

2. GTFOH!!!

Come on now dude, the New Orleans school system can't be that bad. Is it really that hard to have TRAIN OF THOUGHT in music?

Well if you think about it, all this critisizm that yall give Wayne for rapping about nothing is bullshit. Niggas aint never say that shit about Redman, but he gets props for being one of the greats. And please dont try to tell me that Redman used to rap about shit? All he did was throw shit together.

But you know what though, all that aside it doesnt even matter to me. I'll take skills>content any day. I dont care what you're rapping about as long as its good. Niggas just got to nitpicking Wayne because he said he was the best and actually had shit to back it up.

y it gotta b mainstream, its dead or alive right..

outkast, fab, luda, lupe, em, jay, nasir>>> 2 name a few

1. TBH, i say mainstream because I don't listen to underground. How could I say Jada is the best top 5 overall if I mostly listen to mainstream? I'm sure there are some underground rappers who could murk him.

2: Jay (Yes) Nas (Yes) Em (debatable) Lupe (Sick, but no) Fab and Luda (are you fucking kidding me?) Dre 3000 (debatable)

I hear you, but to me unless a song has a specific meaning/theme or title then you can pretty much just rap about whatever. Now i dont know what songs you listen to of his, but i know for a fact that songs like Dr. Carter, Ms Officer, Receipt, etc had a specific theme that he rapped about. Now a song like A Millie is different because it was a song where he just went in on a track. Sort of like how they used to do back in the day, ya know?

I personally think Redman is one of the most one dimensional and redundant rappers ever, it's part of the reason why alot of those 90s rappers never survived, they were never versatile with their style.

That's a hard question..even while locked up and Wayne is still young, he still has some years left being that THIS generation considers his claim in the sights of greats like Nas and Jay-Z..smh. Sad...

Jada's a great MC, but he doesn't have that commercialized buzz Wayne has...but putting himself in the top 5 (depending on who's top 5) could be ridiculous, especially with MC's like Rakim, Big, Nas, Jay-Z, Pac, Kool G etc..

cosign... G was that nigga... still bumpin his shit till this day...
"cause bitch I ain't spendin no cash,
and I can hear your stomach growlin when im clappin on that ass!"

Everyone knows Wayne got his current style from Jay-z during the Squad Up tape days, all the nigga did was rhyme on Jay-z beats and use his flows, then he hopped on Dipset style. Most Lil Wayne fans don't follow his career though and only go back to the Carter 1.

idk...I've been a fan of Wayne since I first heard him on Juvenile's 400 Degreez when my brother got that cd then I heard him the first 2 Hot Boyz cd's...Wayne's flow has never really been a down south type of flow...he's always had a sort of east coast style to how he raps...

If he could put together his flow and delivery now and his content and song writing from Lights Out days i think he would be on to something.

i've been saying this shit for the past 2 years now

Ah, Usmarin3, droppin' another classic that wayne can't even do in his own genre. Wayne's claim is more ridiculous, I rather Bizarre from D-12 to claim he's the best rapper than this guy. Kiss, at least, has the talent, and Wayne doesn't.

Jada. He is no where near the top 5 imo, not even from his era. Wayne's claim is ridiculous but at least he can say he has been the biggest rap star since 07' to validate his claim.
