Am I the only one that prefers 8Ball over MJG???

You're definitely not

Haha, okay just seems like MJG gets more love for some reason. 8Ball's alot like Pimp C in that his voice is so much more distinctive and cool sounding than MJG and Bun B respectively even though alot of people say MJG and Bun B got better bars. But it helped to balance the group out and keep things fresh.

MJG underrated....i always thought Big Boi was underrated too when people spoke of Outkast.

Remember Ceelo went off on this track. I usually forget Big Boi was on the song.

I like all 3 on the song tho.

He wasn't originally. They added him for the video. When the song first came out, it was just Trick and CeeLo.

Also, people act like Outkast and Ball & G never did a song together.

Who came harder?

I don't think so, I remember buying Thug Holiday right when it came out and Big Boi was definitely on the version I had.

The song came out before his album though. When it was first playing on the radio heavy, it was this version:

I can't under state to y'all how much I love that No more glory album. Add on the fact that that album had virtually no guest appearances except for Ball, Bun B, And South circle it makes it even greater.

No More Glory is dope. I gotta listen to it again though. I think I would put Lucious Leftfoot over it. I think the lyrics and variety of subject matter were definitely better.

MJG because he makes the better music, has the better albums, better songs, better singles. His albums have much more replay value to me and are much more enjoyable to listen to and his music is much more entertaining.

But if u are talking strictly rapping wise, who is the better lyricist and talking about straight technical bars. Then Big Boi of course by a billion miles

Big boI better than mjg by a good bit. Even some of the people who picked him basically said big Boi better but they fck with mjg more in a round abt way

Yeah, traditionally Dre 3K, 8Ball, and Bun B have been the ones getting the most acclaim from their respective duos.

Bun got acclaim for his lyrical prowess, but Pimp always got more love to me due to swagger and his voice, and outspokenness.

MJ's verse on this one is GOAT. In my opinion it's up there with Bun's verse on Murder as one of the greatest verses in Southern hip hop history. One of the realest verses ever...

I'm talking more about general respect. Bun B was the one that everybody was trying to get a feature from, even before Pimp went to jail and then later died. Bun is also by far the better rapper, but I agree with you that Pimp's style set him apart.
