Pimp C. Bun B was the better rapper but was not as marketable as Pimp C would have been. Plus Pimp C was a producer so he could have been a double threat. Pimp C makes you more money and saves you money, so Pimp is the better sign.

I personally would've gone with Pimp C, just because he has a more appealing voice, in my opinion. But as far as lyricism, I might say Bun is better. Plus Bun's solo albums were really better than Pimp's. I don't know that that's a fair comparison though, since The Sweet James Jones Stories was put together while he was in jail, using old verses. And The Pimpilation was more of a compilation than a solo album. But it's really hard to choose. On some UGK songs I think Pimp C had the better verses and on other songs I think Bun outshines him.

I'm an industry plant and negotiate record spins for round about payment

So it was industry knowledge?

and you do payola? How can a dude like me get into that line of work?

In the 1980's i interned at american recordings. Every week i'd get a binder of radio station phone numbers and in turn would call and request some song i never heard. It wasnt limited to any particular genre. Now a days we just pay pal an anonymous contribution to the main stations and they spin whoever has an album dropping. Does matter how garbage the artist is
