Freeman never had Cam's buzz. He wuz a project.

that doesn't mean he came into a worse situation. since he was a 'project' it was probably better seeing as how he diidn't have the expectations

Little early for these kind of debates... or maybe its the perfect time for them.

Never too early... they have similarities as leaders and young black qb's...Cam has only been in the league 4 games professionally but his whole aura (n/h) is infectious... It aint hard to tell he rises his teammates talents around him and breathes confidence... Freeman is a good comeback qb and will continue to get better but he has things he has to do better like learning to get his team involved in more than the 4th quarter and jumping the gun on taking teams out... Cam Newton is just nasty, has been since Auburn he can literally put a team on his back... Somewhat like Blake Griffin but of football... He will become a top 5 talent very soon, like a year or 2

I think they'll both have illustrious careers. Cam may have the slight advantage because of his tutelage under the great Warren Moon. However both are proven on the collegiate level, Freeman is proving himself in Tampa, and Cam when he get's some receivers will be overall one of the best QBs to ever play, barring any major injuries of course. When it's said and done I think both QBs should they continue on their current trajectory will be mentioned with the likes of Brady, Peyton, Palmer, and by the time their careers end they just might pass them into that Elway, Namath, Montana, Moon stratosphere.

cosign... niggas actin like Stve Smith is chopped liver on here, nigga is top 5 leading wrs in the league because of Cam... Shockey aint what he used to be in NYG but he has 2 legit tight ends with Olsen included... Deangelo and Stewart I forgot what the nickname used to be but they used to be the rawest rb duo in the league like 2 years ago... niggas musta forgot Delhomme had these dudes lookin all world..imagine what Cam can do with the squad

Freeman is already on pace to have fewer touchdowns and more int's than he had last year so maybe last year was something we wont see again. and maybe the job Cam has done through these first four games is something he won't be able to repeat for the rest of the season. maybe the team runs the ball more, maybe he throws for less yards from here on out. its all up in the air. the performances by either one of these guys could go in the opposite direction at any point. its almost impossible to predict, but i think its safe to say that Cam Newton is obviously the best quarterback of the two and will be forever

Freeman starts slowly and finishes strongly. Jus watch. And Cam might take a step backwards next year when Defenses adjust....... And why arent dudes in here talkn bout the "clutch" factor? Cam may end up havin passed for more yards than Freeman but the latter wil win more rings and have a better career.....When Bucs get a Steve Smith caliber WR, then we'll talk.

Good question, Carolina is a few players away on defense from being a elite team, they could upgrade their WR position too.

If you wanna factor in Cam at Auburn he was probably the most Clutch QB in all of football being played last year... He had all types of comebacks not just 4th quarter drives... he willed Auburn to comeback from deep defecits damn near every week when it wasnt a comeback... and he only played there 1 year, he changed the whole culture immediately just like he is doing at Carolina this year... He has kept the Panthers in every game this year, playing the Packers, Patriots, Bears... I know Cam would have put damage to the Colts unlike Ffreeman who plays down to every teams competition... I like Freeman's heart though on that 3rd down run where he power dove for the 1st, that was a man's play... but I like Cam who power dives for TD's... they both are beast, I just like Cam Newton's whole aura as a qb

I dont think Cam wil ever come close to Freeman if we talkn "Clutch". Remember Freeman has had more 4th qtr comebacks than Elway and Marino had when they wuz 23. Cam is a beast in the makin tho. Its tough to predict but for some reason i see Freeman becomin the GOAT Black QB and top 5 that ever playd the game. Shit like slow starts in games, ability to read defenses can be taught and acquired thru experience. But the Clutch gene, the heart cant be taught....i think Freeman's struggle thz season has to do wit our playcallin. Bucs need to let loose of Freeman cuz thats where he flourishes

Cam will take a 2-14 team and take them to 7-9 or 8-8. Now they need to build around him. Im bias because you know where he went to school at, but watching killa last year i knew he was special. Dude wins everywhere he goes

and im'a go out on a limb here and say Cam Newton , here's why......this off season the panthers showed me they're not scared to help cam out weapons wise, and also keep there core veterans around them and spent money, was most of it on players they already had? yes.....but they spent it

the Bucs were one of the teams who had the most to work with in the NFL money wise and really could have hit the market and they did nothing, think all they did was pick up a few average players and over spend for a damn punter.....if they gonna be cheap then Josh Freeman will never make it to as far as he can...

i can see the Panthers in 2 years being just as good as the bucs if not better once they add a few more pieces in the right places, and Freeman is not the passer Cam is, Freeman is good but Cam can fuckin' air that thing out , not saying Freeman aint solid but Cam upside is fuckin scary..

Panthers got Newton, Greg Olsen, and drafted a WR that has no stats (guess he hasnt' played). Bucs got Freeman Benn, Stroughter, Williams, Parker, Locker, Blount. But ur just gonna give the Panthers credit for getting weapons? C'mon man...

Bucs are in a youth movement, and they just drafted 2 young receivers. Got Winslow at TE and just drafted another. They could have added a 3rd down back I guess, but that's bout it.

In 2 years Smith will be 34 and in his 13th season, and Stewart will likely be gone. And accuracy>>arm strength
