Wikipedia isnt a real source. Its not certified on RIAA's website and you can go on Billboard.com and see the Hot 100 list from every week in 1997/98 and the song is nowhere to be found.

Not saying it wasnt huge tho. It was, just not officially released . At least not in the U.S.

So what does this link say?
https://www.discogs.com/Puff-Daddy-The-Family-Its-All-About-The-Benjamins/master/146207

It's not that big of a deal, but as big as that song was don't you think it would've charted? It could've been released as a single internationally, but prob not in the US. A lot of artists did that back in the day to force people to buy their album.

I'm Bout It (the movie and soundtrack) changed the game forever. Nobody had seen, even with Death Row and Bad Boy crushing everything in sight leading up to 1997, an independent company like No Limit produce a movie and soundtrack that smashed the Billboard charts with little video and radio play.

Then they signed Mystikal, a rising star in his own right, and the rest was history. Musically, 1997 was No Limit's best year and their hunger was on full display.

Dudes coming in here acting like they didn't run 97 cause Make Em Say Ugh didn't hit til 98. When Pac and Biggie died and everybody was dancing in shiny suits, No Limit kept that gangster shit pumping.

Definitely Bad Boy but shame on this nigga for not including Master P

I dont even like Master P but he was killing shit after pac & big died.

Dude left off P but included Busta & says this thread dont look bias LOL

Ghetto D came out in late 97, but Make 'Em Say Uhh didn't hit til 98 which he rode into Tha Last Don and I Got The Hookup soundtrack.

P/No Limit definitely had 98 on lock along with DMX and Jay.

Shhh let them keep talking. I know what the fuck I'm doing.

"I Miss My Homies" dropped in August of 97 and helped 'Ghetto D' top the Pop charts a month later.

But I'll let you tell it.....

And the people in the poll had a better year than Master P.

The issue is you didn't even put him in the poll. Basically you only named NYC artists.
