Robert Horry owns this thread. He not only did his damage as a laker but as a spur also. Nigga was reliable as it gets in the clutch.

Robert Horry for me but Ben Wallace is right there and Kevin Faulk is a good one for football for 2000-2010

Alltime for me probably Rodman, he was one of the best perimeter defenders in the 80's then became one of the best post defenders in the 90's. He went from guarding a young Jordan to a young Shaq LOL who does that

Alltime football not sure, but Moose Johnston, Lorenzo Neal, and Dave Maggett all come to mind

Currently in the league I got Jokim Noah and Kendrick Perkins. I love Boston but without Perk they would not have beaten Orlando any year. Anderson Varejao is honorable mention for his role with Bron too but that is gone now so

I agree with you bro Kobe was number 2 but so what Shaq in his prime was out there. I had this argument with my friend the other day but in my opinion Kobe brought more to there dynasty with Shaq than Scottie did to the Bulls.

I saw it like this

Jordan 70% Pip 30%

Shaq 60% Kobe 40 %

But enough with the Kobe hate he is underrated by alot and overrated by alot there has to be middle ground but anybody calling Kobe a role player is trying to be funny. He could get another three peat and ain't no role player doing that as the # 1 guy on the team. Scottie attempted to win one without Scottie and couldn't do it. People have to forget about the old three peat, what he is doing right now is enough for me to by pass the old three peat. I really do believe that Kobe could get 4 rings on his own team to equal shaq's 4 rings and if that does not end the Kobe was a role player thing nothing ever will

Joakim Noah

i would co sign this if it would be the next decade but i thought every one would say horry but i dont think so. He hit alot of big shots but as for being involved in the entire game its kinda like ehhh to me with him. i would say a person like faulk, ben wallace, or even my nigga crawford or terry.

Kobe Bryant
Even if we go by this dumb ass logic... Kobe was a dominant "role player" for only 3 years in this decade. So he doesn't qualify.

Smh @ this idiotic notion of Kobe being a role player tho.

He was

He was a role player from 97-2004 then he became the franchise and fell on his face until they got pau gasol then lakers went on to win 76% of they games

Go watch the 00,01 playoffs kobe was left alone of the perimeter everytime shaq touched the ball

ROLE PLAYER like rob horry the Goat

The argument is for the past decade (2000-2010). Kobe's days as a role player when he was age 17-19 in the 90's does not count.

Like I said even if you consider him a role player during their championship run it was only 3 years.

Quick question... Do you consider Pau Gasol a role player?
