Michael Jackson is and will always be the King Of Pop, nobody is ever going to sell that many records again, Thriller is the highest selling album of all time.

The Queen can be between two people, Janet Jackson or Madonna, even though everybody ain't feeling Janet like they use too, u can't deny she was the shit in the late 80's and 90's, right along side her brother.

So the ones that come after, have to be the Prince or Princess of Pop.

Ugh. Why do anyone pay any mind to Punisher____?

Omarion is the King of Pop? LOL! When Omarion finally gets a Platinum album and stop hiding in the shadows of other Michael Jackson's rejects, then that joke will hold weight.

Mariah more influential than Michael? This is the same biracial girl who had to repress her singles just so they could go to #1 and then had a nervous breakdown when her music starting flopping like it is now? Can't be serious.

You asked for it. LoL.

Anyways, Mariah made mainstream, pop acts start collaborating rappers. I.E, she took the rap/sung collaboration mainstream and made it a trend amongst mainstream, pop acts.

Actually, no she didn't. Puff Daddy made that popular after he worked with Mary J. Blige and paired her with Grand Puba and The Notorious B.I.G. that's where Mariah Carey got the idea to do collabos with rappers...and the producer of those collabos with rappers was none other than Puff Daddy that did it first with, Mary J. Blige.

Michael

Queen

Between Madonna and Janet

Cosigns. Punisher you are tripping, Mariah Carey is no where near as influenial as Michael Jackson. One of her 1st hits was "I'll be There" a Jackson 5 song and nobody would put her version over Michael's. Dude early posted clear facts that Mariah can't see MJJ and you downplayed them. Mariah is successful no doubt but she dropped in the 1990's. Michael came out in the 60's, he had 40 + Years of Hits from childhood to adult hood. "You are not alone" was the first single to debut at #1 before Mariah's "Fantasy". Michael has more #1 singles than Mariah when you include the Jackson 5. Mariah has 18 #1 singles. Michael has 19 #1 singles with his J5 catalog. Mariah sold 175 Million albums Worldwide and "Thriller" sold over half of Mariah Carey's total career in 1 album. Are you serious? Michael will forever be KING. It's not even debateable. Mariah may have sung at Michael's funeral but there is now way she is more influenial to music than Michael. Michael influenced her please. MJ > Mariah. MJ even had a better voice and hit more octives than Mariah at a young age. Mariah is one of the Queens of this ish, not doubt. Her sales, #1 singles and hits can't be denyed. I agree that she also help the Hip Hop/RnB genre go commerical for sure (Though Puffy was the real mastermind behind the transistion). Now Madonna is definitely Queen but I think Janet does have a claim to Queen Status cause her chart success is so versitle. She had 10 #1 Hot 100 Singles, 16 #1 RnB Singles and 20 #1 Dance Singles as well as 2 #1 Hip Hop singles. Janet's career is special cause she was the first artist to prove that you can conquer mutiple charts in different genre's.
