give me Rappers over the age of 40 that you listen to:

E-40, Too $hort, KRS-One, Rakim, Jay-Z, Raekwon, Devin The Dude, Dr.Dre & Ice Cube are all rappers who have albums that have come out in the past year, or have CDs coming out this year (Cube & Dre) that I listened too, (I enjoyed all of them except Blueprint 3) or anticipate listening to (Cube & Dre).

My list would be longer, but the fact is that the teenage/mid-20's rappers from the 80's are just now putting out some of their first albums in their 40's. When some of those rappers in their 40's start dropping more albums, I will check them out too...you don't lose your talent with your age. When Bun B, Scarface, Eminem, Method Man, etc get into their 40's, I'll still cop their shit, or at least give it a try too.

Your shit backfired...do you not realize the lack of rappers in their 40's or older dropping CDs isn't because they're too old...it's because hip hop hasn't been around long enough for a lot of the legends to get old. (I don't mean pioneer legends...I mean the consistent ones who became legends for continuously making good music)

good list. I don't know anyone who still listens to KRS one. The seventh seal by RA was ok. And jay z is probably the only rapper 40 and over that I listen to.

He dropped an album recently?

No...that's why I said "doesn't matter what". I didn't explain what I meant clearly. But I meant a rapper that was somebody at some point...he's the oldest one I can think of.

So wait - is Face 39 or 44?

He's 44 I was way off.

I don't know why when I looked at Wikipedia an hour ago I thought it said 39 (which was surprising to me also)

Hip hop is money . Hip hop is a business.

What ever age you beeZ go HAM. If an artist still packing arenas into there 40's then they getting paper. If you in your 40's and aren't doing arenas you need to hang it up.

the joke is on the up and comin youngins..they don't realize that by talkin "old ass nigga" "you too old to rap" is only hurting the young niggas not the old cats..lol..they already made theirs..they set..there's a reason why these dudes can still put out records in their late 30's and 40's and why rappers nowdays can't even make it to 25 without already fallin off and being on a milk carton or some random reality show for some has beens..these dudes will be real salty when they find they are now "old-school and played out" after 3 years

somebody might be changing his page but he's says in several rhymes that he was born in 1973 so that would make him 39. but he could be lying though. he was supposedly 18 when mind playing tricks on me dropped. So that would put 39 at about the right age. I just looked at his wiki page and it says born in 1970 which would make him 42 not 44. I seen 2 other sites that say 1969 and 1971. all these dudes probably 2 years older than we know.
