Damn not many brothers getting love on here I could have swore one of you token niggas would have said Tyler Perry since his movies always have Big openings supported by the Black Consumer. I say Jeffrey Wright, Mos Def,and Will Smith for the current generation.

I would understand you say about DiCario but you can't say about Pitt....come on......

Both of those two dudes are way better than fucking Idris Elba and Jesse Elsenberg cause these two guys you picked always picked the same role in every movies.

Pitt Like Clooney Knows How To Pick Good Scripts And Work With Talented Directos (Soderbergh, The Coens, Fincher) But Hes Far From A Mind Blowing Actor...My Favorite Performance Of His Would Be In 12 Monkeys And Maybe Fight Club

Wright is good, Mos Def is aight, Will hasn't impressed me yet, he's just a money maker, Tyler Perry is feminine

I think the best BLACK actors are fading away gradually

What are you saying? they should have picked the bad scripts cause better for acting?

I don't like Clooney at all, he's overrated piece of shit.

Look at those movie Burning After Reading, Brad Pitt stole the show and did good job with his role.

I do agree 12 Monkeys is one of his best performance.

I wish Will Smith picks better scripts and I wanna see him play a bad guy role. Six Degrees doesn't count either; too early in his career....Will Smith is the kind of guy who's real into family, and I imagine he consults with them when it comes to every role he takes on.

All Im Saying Is That Their Acclaimed Because Of The Movies Their In Not For Their Performances.....I Dont Like The Coens For There Black Comedies So I Dont Think Highly Of Burn After Reading..Pitts Performance Included...Not Saying Theyre Wack I Just Dont Like Them....Although Most Of Their Films Have Elements Of Humor In Them...

Of our time I would have to start with the top tier which is Brando, Oldman, Deniro, Pacino.

2nd tier would be DDL (Doesn't do enough movies for me), Norton, Denzel, Colin Firth

And the 3rd tier I would have the Clooneys (Don't understand the big fuss over him), Pitt (Average), Will Smith and Dicaprio (Average but has got alot better). Matt Damon is creeping up though he's really expanding his range.

Steve Buscemi is seriously slept-on here.

Buscemi is a damn good actor but let's be honest. He's not handsome (NH) so he's doesn't get alot of great roles. He's killing it in Boardwalk Empire.

i think dicaprio is at or near the top for this generation... i love the character actors who dont get much love or starring roles like buscemi and brolin, keitel, platt, oldman (i like him best in his character villain roles although he does star in a bunch of movies), tarturro.... denzel is always solid but doesn't pick enough good roles for all the bad movies he's made tolerable... his last great role was man on fire imo although he was really good in AG.... other good actors of this generation:

gosling, damon, jon hamm (dude has range), firth, DDL and bale are excellent method actors, pitt, norton, spacey, malkovich, ledger, clive owen, depp, ralph fiennes, joaquin phoenix

im sure i left out a bunch but this is off the top and dudes that are still major players and command attention... i feel like the DeNiro's and pacino's of the biz have lost a lot of their flare and can no longer lead a classic movie although i loved pacino as jack kevorkian

Too me some of the best of our time are Will Smith, Leo Decap, Pitt, Bale, James Franco

Some of the best actors to date..all have done all different kinds of movies with a wide range of acting involved

Word....all those are a tier below the very top. Which includes Pacino, DeNeiro, and I've noticed that DDL only pics Oscar scripts. Its even worse for actresses you got Streep and thats about it.

We gotta define "Our Time"...cuz I know Pacino, Deneiro and others have been acting since my moms time..so thats why I named actors younger than 45
