I also remember the Shop Boyz and how their hood rock shit was supposed to be a major new movement or something and they were never mentioned again after two weeks.

Shop Boyz burned out after "Party Like A Rock Star" went strong for about damn near half a year (it was all over NBA ALL-STAR weekend in 07), but the rock star image/fad faded and so did all the other groups who tried to piggy back off of them. But what a lot of people don't know outside of Georgia and a couple of boardering states is that a year later (08) they had some regional hits with "Up Thru Dere" and "Imma Ball" and "Oowee" in 09. They STILL play all these songs in Atlanta sans "P.L.A.R.S."

He's still acting, he did the theme music for the a show on Adult Swim (Cartoon Network), he's doing theme songs and music for video games and he's produced songs for several commercials, most notably the Gatorade commercial for "Evolve" (which they played the shyt out of).

I was listening to pandora today and "pop champagne" came on, and I thought "wow ron browz was running the game for about 8 weeks.

Like he was literally the most sought after producer and feature artist for 2 months. Everyones upcoming album they were said to be workin with ron browz. Then poof, he's album flopped and no one picked up those beats and bam! He's gone.

Granted I thought the dude was super wack, he made tpain look like john lennon by comparison, but still.
