Honestly, I think the lyrics on The Chronic fell short. The beats were dope and the sound quality was better than what was out at the time, but lyrically it was average. I'm not saying it was wack, but lyrically it didn't impress me.

the production on The Chronic overshadows the wack lyrics Dre was spitting. Dre could've made an instrumental version of The Chronic without rapping and it would still be a classic.
