Nas whit more versatile and complete...nigga dropped a album rapping bout politics!!

...and that's why Jay Z fans outnumber Nas fans

don't nobody wanna hear about that

They wanna hear about wiping dirt off your shoulder or rocking Tom Ford

Nas and thats factual. Just honestly listen to the shit. Nas is more versatile and creative and lyrically better. And Oochie Wally > any Jay-Z song in the club, even if the sun don't shine. Jay-Z is great, just not greater than Nas.

Jay Z has the more entertaining discography between the two

Agree with this. I listen to old jay songs i dont even necessarily like the sound of, just to listen to the raw shyt talkin lyrics -streets is talkin, snoopy track, squeeze first, etc

Well, let's break it down:

Illmatic>>>Reasonable Doubt (Illmatic is THE GOAT hip-hop album, RD ain't even Top 15 all-time, hip-hop status wise)

It Was Written>In My Lifetime, Vol. 1

I Am< In My Lifetime, Vol. 2 (Very close tho)

Nastradamus> Kingdom Come (Not that HHID was great, but KC was WEAK as shit)

Untitled < American Gangster (Both were solid, tho. AG by a slim margin)

Distant Relatives >> Watch the Throne (if you've heard both, you know DR is head-and-shoulders better)

Life Is Good>>>>Blueprint 3 (LIG is arguably Nas's 3rd classic album; BP3 was considered Jay-Z's biggest post-retirement letdown)

Nas has nothing to counter Magna Carta Holy Grail, but it won't be too hard to top it, seeing as how bland it came out to be.

So, there you have it. Pre-retirement, Jay was going shot-for-shot with Nasty. After Jay came back, the only album he put out that could fuck with anything Nas brought was American Gangster. S. Carter simply has too many misses (KC, BP3, MC/HG) that won't allow his discography to keep pace with Mr. Jones.

So, there. I hope this debate is done......which, it won't be. Ever.

Yes Illmatic is better. But Reasonable Doubt is a GREAT album. Def in my top 15 hiphop albums and by far Jay's best work imo

Okay guys I am not liike the Young Money stans or the Shadyteam I can actually compare Nas album with some other albums.

Okay let's start.

Illmatic the best album that drop 1994

It Was Written the best album that drop 1996. Did OB4CL drop 96? If it did it's the closet one

Wu Tang Forever 1997

1999 It's between I am & Murda Muzik.. I am big fan of Mobb Deep as well. I'd say I like Murda Muzik more than Nastradamus atleast but not sure bout I am.

2001 . STILLMATIC NO DOUBT.. Probably my favorite album

2002 GOD SON & LOST TAPES

2004 Street Disicple or The Hunger For More... I also love BANKS!

2006 HIP HOP IS DEAD also i fucc with Food & Liquor

2008 UNTITLED NO DOUBT

2010 Distant Relatives

2012 LIFE IS GOOD
