The Hulk and Dumb Drax were below Thanos to begin with. I'd say jobbing comes into play when he lasts more than a minute fighting Odin or Galactus. Usually when he fights those guys, he's using some form of prep or enhancements, much like Batman

And Thanos Beats Herald levels to near death in a couple punches so I don't see how him surviving against Odin and Galactus is far fetched

Your problem is you think the heralds are stronger than they actually are. Throughout the years thanos has punked herald level characters. That isn't jobbing. Thanos LOSING to a herald level characters would be jobbing. You have no basis as to why thanos should be weaker than surfer

To be fair, Thanos wasn't depicted to be anywhere near as powerful in some early appearances (such as when he used to fight Captain Mar-Vell and around the time he fought everyone with the cosmic cube) as he is currently. Case in point him needing to use the Thanos Helicopter to fly around.

Don't get me wrong; Thanos is one tough dude always has been. I could be wrong, but writers seemed to ramp up his power to his now legendary power levels around just before The Infinity Gauntlet run.

For me, this is where I remember him beginning to really come into his own:
