Based on numbers...top 15. But I can count on one hand how many San Diego games i've watched...and the games the I have seen even in his prime...I never stopped and said "Wow this foo is the truth"

I've watched all of LT's career, and without having my "homer" glasses on, I would rank LT 4th on my top 5 list of RB's I have seen since I started watching football in 1990.
1. Barry Sanders
2. Emmitt Smith
3. Marshall Faulk
4. LT
5. Jerome Bettis

Now if we stretched the list to an all-time list LT would still be top 10. Top 10 would be,

1. Barry Sanders
2. Walter Payton
3. Emmit Smith
4. Jim Brown
5. Marshal Faulk
6. LT
7. Eric Dickerson
8. OJ Simpson
9. Marcus Allen
10. Jerome Bettis

I'd say top 10. His peak from about 03-07 matches up with almost anybodys

2003- 1645 yards rushing, 17 total TDs. 100 catches. 2300 total yards
2004- 1335 yards rushing, 18 Total TDs. Missed a game
2005- 1462 yards, 20 Total TD's
2006- 1815 yards rushing, 31 Total TD's. Won MVP
2007- 1474 yards rushing, 18 Total TDs

He's not in my top 5 because he's never had a big game in the playoffs. And if the chargers are smart they cut his ass this year. The body language he showed on the sidelines when his team needed him...you seen that look one too many times unfortunately. He's done.

He cant even touch the top 10. Sorry is a very good running back.. and Stats wise.. you could say he is.. But stats are only part of the picture.. Like a few people have said he hasn't showed up in big games.Statistically he i a great back.. But realistically he's just not cutting it. He is the best since Emmitt retired.. AP still has to earn his stripes.. since AP has been in the league AP has been in the discussion of the games best RB.. but its about body of work. For those of you puttin AP in the upper echelon of backs all time.. He still has work to do. People become prisoners of the moment.. LET THEM EARN THERE STRIPES!

Emmit, Barry,Jim Brown,Dickerson,Payton,Sayers,Martin,Bettis,OJ,Dorsett,Allen, etc are all better. LT has no heart, he is a sideline warrior and a prima donna

Jim Brown

Barry Sanders

Walter Peyton

Emmit Smith

Marshal Faulk

Thats my list in order. Jim Brown is the prototype. You have to put him up at number one. What he did in 9 years playing only 14 games a season was amazing. I'd have LT in my top 10 though.

Top 10.

He sucks in the playoffs....but people seem to discount the great game he had against the patriots in 06 I believe.

He had something like 180+ total yards and 2 touchdowns if I'm not mistaken.

A top ten rb list without Earl Cambell is very, very suspect.
