Where does CAMP LO rank as a group/duo in Hip Hop?

good comparison. I'd throw Souls of Mischief in around that area too.

Yeah all 3 of those groups came in at different saturated times, yet somehow managed to break thru with different flows/styles than were out during their times, that got them some shine for a few days.

They dropped one of the best LP's of 97 and it's an under-rated Classic. But they didn't follow up that great LP, they took too much time off, had some label politics. I will forever have love for them cause "Uptown Saturday Night" was just one of those rap albums that had a feel to you that you always remember. Jay basically took their style on "Feelin It" from their original demo. Overall because of that debut album they will forever get props from me. That joint should of went Gold or Platinum easy.

Basically said everything !! If they dropped more music along the lines of OutKast or Run-DMC, top 5 easily !!

glad this thread was made b/c i was thinking listening to luvhini thinking bout how much of a classic this is and if jay complete the attempted robbery of the beat for reasonable doubt would he have went as hard as camp lo... And their new mixtape/album with pete rock called "80 blocks" goes hard real throw back shit sound like it cud be they real follow up to Uptown Saturday Night but mobb deep first, ghost and rae 2nd , 8ball n mjg 3rd, outkast/ugk 4th, method man/redman 5th , so camp lo in contention for the 6th best duo of all times
