I seen X live back in 99' during the hard knock life stadium tour. Best live show performer I ever seen. He went on after method and red, who opened the show. Jay went last and closed the show. Well, the story is that they changed. Which i think is true even when i look back at resources. They ended up switching between each shows of who the headliner was gonna be. The thing was that Jay had a bigger crossover song at the time - Hard Knock Life. So i think that's a big reason why he headlined and all. It's pretty crazy to think of how big X was considering the fact that he was not a crossover artist or had crossover songs. I mean Get At Me Dog didnt get played like that cuz X didnt wanna clean the language in the song for example lol. But he still was large for someone in that "street/gangsta rap" lane. Just like only a few others have been.
