Where did the term "nappy" derive from? Was it birthed with a negative connotation?
People use nappy to mean unkempt, not brushed, or simply looking like you woke up and said "fuck it" and took no time to make yourself look ok no matter what the texture of your hair is. So yes, sloppy unkempt hair is visually unappealing. It's why you see women with even the smallest amount of hair going for that struggle pony tail
