Rakim coming back is your favorite hip hop moment?

Mine would have to be Dr Dre coming out with The Chronic. When that came out, there was nothing like it and it's an instant classic and made people up their game. Dr Dre should easy be top 5 in hip hop. Not top 5 rappers, but top 5 names, know what i mean?

Since I was a white young'n in the 90s, I didn't get to witness them great Hip-Hop moments, the earliest epic Hip-Hop moment I can think of that I absolutely loved, was The Fugees reuniting on stage at the BET awards a few years back.

Man i used to have alot of joints but they got lost or stolen during college...i had this one tape called 'The Wake Up Show Freestyles' which had AZ, EM, Chino XL, boot camp, wu and everybody ill from 95 - 99 freestyling in the radio studio...the WAKE UP SHOW was a underground radio show that used to come on at midnight every saturday out in cal back in the day...west coast heads up in here know what i'm talking about... SWAY from MTV was one of the host....

when Jay dropped Blueprint 1,that album shook the whole game,Soul samples and even though he doesn't get credit for it,he was the first to make the word swagger popular.."I think I got my Swagger back" this was 2001 kiddies. Also the Takeover callin' out Nas AND Prodigy !!!!.I'll never forget that day in my life. Up here we have a record store that releses albums "early".So if something drops on tuesday on Monday evening they stay open 10 or 15 min past 12:00 so you can get Tuesdays release.I remember coppin the album Monday Sept 10,2001 ,listened to it for hours couldn't get past Takeover..."ask Nas he don't want it with Hov/Nooooooo". As a Nas fan I couldn't BELIEVE he called out Nas.I fell asleep listening to the album in my headphones,and I remember being the first one up in the morning turn on the TV and saw the second plane hit the tower live, WTF ??(I thought it was a movie preview). Also what's ironic is in the sleeve of the album theres a picture of Jay holding the American Flag(something for you conspiracy theorist to feed off).
