He did not defend Sherrod until it became popular to do so, he's trashing Charlie Rangel despite the fact so many white congressmen for YEARS have been corrupt and still are, and the never ending war in Afghanistan shows no sign of ending in 2011. and as for this about calling out the corrupt politicians, they only do it when they can get political points for it. dems hardly ever call out corrupt dems, the same way republicans don't have much to say when a republican is caught on some illegal activities. here, rangel's offenses were particularly awful, so bad in the media that even dems couldnt defend him. it happens every once in a while, and obama would get slammed if he stood up for rangel here. he wont condemn every corrupt white politician, he doesnt have time to do that. but if one becomes a big enough ordeal in the media, then he'll have to weigh in on it. thats what happened with rangel. believe that if a high ranking republican politician is caught doing something illegal, obama will condemn him.
