The Coach drops them off in front of their building after the game. When they get out the car, they see the gang members standing outside the entrance waiting to shoot someone inside the building. All of a sudden they start shooting at the dude in the door way. The two boys get down against the building and try to cover themselves. Then after all the back and forth gunfire stops the older brother tells G Baby that is alright to get up now but G Baby doesn't respond. Finally, the camera pans down to so that G Baby has been shot in the chest.

I always thought the scene where Willem Dafoe gets left behind and overrun by the Viet Cong in "Platoon" was pretty sad. Especially when u consider that he was set up & shot by Tom Berenger's character & left to die in the middle of that jungle.
