I got paid under the table reffing lil kids b ball games in hs. Idr exactly what I made...it was like 50 bucks here, 30 bucks there...if I did the math I had to have only be making a couple dollars an hour.

My first "real job" I made 8.15 an hr

Working at Best Buy while I was in college was a pretty cool gig. Used to work cashier, so the niggas on the floor used to give me grief talmbout the broads worked up there. It was fun as hell working with them girls. Used to make working Black Fridays a breeze...we'd cut up so much. I was making 9.00 there

I remember these fuckin checks. They were so pitiful and I'd be so mad. On several levels. Like 300 pay stubs and I'm like i used to blow 3 bills on bullshit and that's my fuckin check. Mad. Relieved that i got money because i was literally down to two dollars. Mad.

The week i was going to leave the job i got arrested on some bullshit. Charged with beating up three cops. So i have a felony arrest on my record, my guy that was gonna put me on at a sweet security gig couldn't fuck with me just bc of that. Opportunity gone. Big fuckin mad. I was there for two more months until one of my other guys put me on at a non for profit gig that he owned. More money, not a lot more, but better than 300 every two weeks.

I beat the charge, took a year and 10k. If you in the Chi and ever get in a jam holla at Stuart. Goldberg.

Fuck that tho. I worked at McDonalds that was at, IIRC, 13 mile just east of Woodward gettin $5/hr when minimum was $4.25/hr. Errubody know the spots int he city paid straight minimum wage and the joints in the suburbs typically paid best... Except Ferndale. Back in high school my boy was gettin $4.00/hr working at a BK up on Southfield rd and 12 or 13 mile while I was gettin $3.35/hr at Hardee's in Ferndale. The further out you went the better they paid too 'cause one cat I knew was bussin it out to Rochester Hills to get $5.50/hr.

$5.15/hr. 2001. 1st job ever at 16 so you can tell how old i am lol. Back when federal minimum wage was 5.15/hr.

I got in this art program through the Good Grades Pay program so since I was an honor student I got hooked up with this job at SOTA (School of the Arts). I was designing and sculpting things out of sheet metal and wire, painting and drawing all kinds of things, all of it for profit (Not my pockets lol). At the end of the summer the ritzy white folk would come along buy whatever they thought was dope.

Out of everything I made, I built a giraffe out of sheet metal and wire along wit a big ass ring for its habitat and somebody bought it. It was a summer gig and it was legit cuz they took Federal, State and Social Security tax out my week. Walked away wit $95 every week lol. Felt good to make a lil money and not run to my moms for shyt.

But anyway, it was fun, met some kids along the way, some of which I haven't seen since then. But it was cool and something different.
