I got a 3.2 without ever opening a book, doing homework at home, or studying for anything.

And I was in AP and honors courses...

Yeah, freshman year should be a breeze academically.

Im thinking freshman year may be my hardest year, you see I am going to a liberal arts college so my freshman year is filled with classes unrelated to my major.

Like I got English, Spanish, History and such...I figured my later years would be easier because they will be filled with just sociology courses

i go to community college & my first semester was cool. i had a fucked up schedule & only had class 3 days a week & one of them shits was a night class. i joined late so had to take whatever i could get. i think i had a 3.0 all first year.

socially, it wasn't much different different than high school. the majority of the people i know went there also (& still do) & everyone lived at home still. kinda got thrown off second semester & beginning of sophomore year cuz that's when i got a bf, but i bounced back. but readin through this thread makes me feel hella left out. i have no crazy party or dorm stories lol.

Enjoy this time... this will be the most fun you've had in school - at any level. Just make sure you remember why you're there as well.

That's not too much. I took 6 classes and 17 credits my first semester and came out with a 3.67.

It's easy because some of the classes are pretty lightweight, 2 credits or even 1 credit.

Real talk, I was scared as fuck my first year in college. I had a full ride but with a minimum gpa cutoff, so i busted my ass to maintain 3.5 or higher. This is what helped me get into law school. Definitely have fun with it like everyone else is saying, but don't ever forget that this is a new world you're entering. Having a college degree is not enough. You need to have either the grades or the connection as well to make it. Best advice: go to the dept. chair and ask where are students in the dept. getting employed. Contact them and ask them what was their gpa and what classes they took and follow suit. If you do that you'll be better off than 98% of ur classmates.

Slow. Non Traditional student with a felony so i had that " can't fuck this shit up" mentality. But even with that had to grind to afford tuition. Niggas soon realized I had the best shit on campus so i quickly introduced the to 1 blunt dimes, which was unheard of where they were from. But soo enough had the all clammoring for what I call " Fruit".

Early to bed early to rise and dean's list. Only banged a couple brauds on campus. still had home town hoes on call but basically kept my nose clean
