T/S should download a song by Fela Kuti called "Water Got No Enemy". I'd post it but I'm on an iPad and I don't know how to post Youtube clips.

Fela Kuti is an African singer. "Water Got No Enemy" was recorded in the 1970s. The message of the song is that regardless if your Muslim/Jew, Blood/Crip, Hatfield/McCoy or Capulet/ Montague, at the end of the day we all need water.

Its a cool song because its kind of in English, white people call it "Pigdin English" although I'd consider that an insult if I was Fela Kuti. He has a lot of stuff that's a mix of English and African languages.

Also, I like Dancehall Reggae even though I can't understand what they're saying.

Hip Hop is as much about rhythm as it is about rapping. That foreign shit be sounding off. They don't even sound like they matching syllables. Shit be all over the place like they don't have enough words to play with. That why it's good having multiple words that sound similar or even the same but mean different things in different context. Unless it hawaiin.

A lot foreign languages just doesn't have a lot words that rhyme in their language and the syllables be all over the place that's why the English language its sounds so good with rhyme schemes etc.

I do like some 'foreign' rappers especially as their beats are usually crazy...

This dude kills it, this tune he pays respect to the legends of the rap, so you can understand part of the tune...

Theres loads of dope British rappers, but that doesnt count as they rap in English...

Shiiiiet my frist major label release was on a foreign record when I was 15. Never sharing that with y'all niggas tho. But yeah overseas the foreign cats hold down all elements of hip hop. They may be lacking in the rap department, but they make it up for it strong with the other elements esp graffiti and breaking. Last night I was at a Afrobeat party and all of these foreign people kept coming up to me and saying how beautiful Black culture is and how they love and respect us around the world. Yet in our own backyard...
