right... thing that piss's me off, and makes me dislike an artist, when they get a certain fan base, and their music changes because they want to sell more, or think thats the way to go... that ruins people. Eminem fell off cause of that, now he's back cause he's chucking the typical fan base and being himself again.. tech n9ne, a used to really like, but his new stuff is terrible.. think he has followed his fan base, doesnt seem the real tech no more.

get me?

Just Lil Wayne after 2007....he was a ok rapper even though he had ghost writers like Curren$ey and Gillie Da Kid writing his material.

once these new generation cats started reppin "the best rapper alive" quote and dickride everything he does and said that was average and mediocore at best like tha Carter 3 and later....i lost interest with the majority of his new material

Exactly how I feel/felt, I mean Wayne was good, real good and then all of a sudden everyone I knew (not just people who listened to rap, infact the majority weren't rap fans) were all sayin the dude was the Best Rapper Alive/EVER.

HAHAHA. No, just no....and since then, I haven't really been impressed with Wayne.

I dont actually dislike the rappers but these fans are this close to making me hate certain artist.

Eminem- He has the most delusional fans ever

50 Cent- Most of his fanbase seem to be wiggers who think everything 50 does is great

Rick Ross- they have become annoying and overrating his music like its the best thing since slice bread when in reality the music is average at best

You got it right about Rick Ross and 50, but with Eminem, the problem I had was alot of white people were ratin him the best rapper ever, just because they were white and could/can relate to him, but in all honestly, I doubt the majority of those people couldn't name 30 rappers.

But at the same time, I don't like the haters who don't acknowledge his greatness just coz he is white. It's a catch 22. But then again, they just haters.

These cases don't make me hate the rapper. It basically just makes me shy away from listenin to that rapper as much or talkin bout the said rapper because I kno any conversation you can have about them, will be filled with bias and unjust merit.

Which is something I can't stand.......

For touring purposes sales demographics are studied.

A rapper that tours were he hasn't sold many records will find it difficult sometimes to sell concert tickets in that area. A touring schedule is often an accurate indication of a rappers selling power in a specific region, area, state, city. (Its Chess not Checkers)

Its not by accident that Ricky Rozay's next three concerts are in:

Houston, Texas ( 62.% Black & Latino population)
Detroit, Michigan ( 86% Black & Latino population)
Miami, Florida ( 90% Black & Latino population)-(59% were born outside the United)

^^^This is in a country were Blacks and Latino's are only 30% of the total population.

What would these numbers mean to your promoter, manager, and tour-manager???

Will they book you a gig in Idaho w/ a 99% white population, or in areas were your fan-base is strong enough to sell-out the venue??

Hallelujah

I have never disliked a rappers music because of his/her fan base. I have always rated the Music but a rappers fan base always seems to confirm my ratings of a rappers music.

Gee isn't stupid. If you actually took the time to get pass the text-typin style he has, you'd see that he actually makes valid points. Trust me it took me a while, I could barely even read his posts but over time I began to read them and understand them. He makes his points much better than someone like Ajax McJones who is just plain stupid.

You got to be kidding bro. You really actually respect Gee for what he has to say?

......Maaaaaan, no. The guy has got to be fake, but even lookin passed that, the only thing he ever add his opinion on is........"M&M iZ a slavemazta N nE1 who listenz 2 him R KraKaz N DeVilzzz, FUKK!! DA SHADY PLANTATION AND CURRRRY DA SNITCH GGG-GUNOT".

Nothing else.....only posts about Eminem, 50 Cent or some other Aftermath affiliate. Its garbage.

I know you ain't an Eminem fan but damn man.....garbage.

What happend to your other profile too man? You are the dude who had the Jeezy avi right?

Rappers often use "widgets" on their Myspace pages for fans to request them to come to their city, this data can be used to a lesser extent to gauge an artist popularity in that city.

Facebook fan-page and Twitter, are beneficial for researching demographics, and Fan websites use stat-trackers that compile geographical information from web-visitors also.

^^^ those are the last 10 people who commented on the trending topic #Teflon Don, as of the last 5 mins, I can provide another screenshot in 30 mins and the demographics will still look the same.

I prefer solid evidence over speculation and assumption.

Kanye Lil Wayne Jay Z and all these other 'sellouts' all have white fans and they get MUCH bigger shows in these 'black areas'

Why wouldnt Emenim sell-out a venue in Detroit, Its his home-town, and he wouldnt be the only artist on the ticket, there would also be Trick Trick, D12, Obie Trice, and other local acts.

Tech9ne dose not do "massive" shows", he books small to medium-sized venues with local acts opening for him.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Washington_(U.S._state)#Demographics

^^^Look at the demographic data on Washington:

Of course JayZ, LiL Wayne & Kanye are going to sell out shows wherever they go, they are all platinum artists who have cross-over appeal, before they "crossed-over" they were being supported primarily by us.

I dont see anyone catching feelings, we are just trying to help you fans from overseas see how we come to our factual conclusions on hiphop matters.

lol how am I an "elitist" when I'm a Young Jeezy fan you retard? That's anti hip hop elitism you dumbass. This is why you're stupid, you can never make a point and maintain any sort of logic or balance in your argument.

Now dumb-dumb. I don't like Eminem, deal with it. I don't care that you don't like Young Jeezy or Rick Ross and you never see me getting upset over you not liking them but you're getting mad at 4 people that don't listen to Eminem's music? What the fuck type of obsessive stan are you?

Stop displaying your stupidity, when Eminem comes to town people from the Metropolitan region will travel to see him. The inner city of Detroit has about 1 million people with around 800,000 being black. The metropolitan has around 4.5 million. Of that total 4.5 million only about 1.1 million are blacks. So you see, the metro area of Detroit actually has over 3 million white Eminem fans. And you wonder why his shows sell out there.

Stop arguing demographics with posters smarter than you, when we say something just nod your head in agreement. If you think Eminem has so many black fans, show us some concert footage and prove us wrong.

this was the point im trying to make if what you say is true, what does that say about Rick RAWSE when plays in detroit you elitist faggot
and you are an eltist because you use your E-rep to push opinions you damned fool, SMH at you only thinking there is only ONE way to be an elitist.

And every rapper has mainly white fans PLEASE stop trying to argue this fact for rappers that you like/prefer
it doesnt matter and it only makes you look like an idiot

Eminem has mainly white fans
Ross has mainly white fans
Jeezy has mainly white fans

ANY rapper who was went gold or more hasnt sold 500,000+ form selling to the 'Hood' where all of thier music gets Downloaded/Bootlegged!

show me some kind of footage of Black Hood guys/Gangbangers going into a record store and purchasing albums to prove ME wrong bitch.

EDIT: and SMH at you and your elitist four champion H-Rapv having opposite facts on wether people who go to Detroit shows are white or black.

man comeone now alot of yall know good enough well that a white person in the rap game is going to get "gased up to the tee by white america" no matter what.,,,,em is a realy realy good lyrist but he isnt any betta than a drake or a nas or even a metaphoric mind twisting weey hell is can even give him to jay'z ole "godly" view on how rap music should be implementd..em is up there he is tight he can flow he got talent yes but he is not the greatest rapper of all time..he got all his lil "white" fans BUYING his ALBUMS and realy supporting him right along with some blacks.....

Its very arrogant and elitist to assume that "Black Hood guy guys/Gangbangers" lack the ability and resources to purchase a C.D. from a record store.

We have a multitude of Black owned "Mom & Pop" record stores within our community.
We have also mastered the ability to frequent Best Buys, Targets, Sam Goody and other retail outlets that sell C.D.s ...

Im pretty sure the crowd at an Emenim concert in Detroit would be mixed, there would be various artists on the promotion with various fanbases, I fail to see how this contradicts anything the brother posted previously.

The only people who co-sign his shit are either blatant Eminem haters or just people who can't stand a white man bein on top of the rap game (generally being racist themselves) and most the time those 2 different types of people are one and the same.

Comparing Gee757 to a Teacher teaching students is some backwards shit. Gee757 is the kid in the special ed class drooling over pop-up books repeatin the same shit over and over.

and your elitist 4 member sociopath IS NOT YOUR BROTHER you have never met him!! how the hell can you be so ignorant and hypocrytical against white people when they are the only reason ANY of your fave rappers get any type of exposure what so ever.

fuck your nationalist views.

this Elitist 4 shit is making me laugh MAKE UP YOUR MIND Is the detroit crowd going to be black, white or mixed? and if its really that affected by 'various artists'

then that would kind of sit on the idea that most of Ross's fans are black.

LOL at these people all co-signing Gee757 cause they think it makes them individuals the guy is a bitter troll who may/may not be real and he will give his life for Rick Ross

and will promote shite rappers like Fat Joe and Ja Rule just because they beef with 50, PLUS he keeps citing Diddy as one of NYs greatest, If you really agree with Gee757s warped veiws on hip hop

then you are a fucking idiot.

Yes I said "WE", as in people from the African American community that I am a part of.

I dont speak for "all" African-Americans, but as an African, and an American I am speaking as a representative for my culture. The circumference of my knowledge on these matters is far superior to those who are not African, not American, and not a part of the HipHop community outside of being a fan.

I dont have to meet sociopath to consider him my brother, he belongs to the same culture as I do and is a member of the same community. Its a cultural practice amongst our people to call each other brother & sister.
