Kinda hard to judge Staten island. Off the top the Wu are the only notable artist from their. Kinda sparse compared to the other 4

Two words: Public Enemy.

They're from Long Island...well @ least Chuck D & Flava Flav. 2 separate islands in 2 separate counties

Brooklyn: Biggie, Jay, AZ, Busta Rhymes, Fab. No way they're even close to the worst.

Queens: 50 Cent, Nas, LL Cool J, Run DMC, Ja Rule. Just a tad bit under Brooklyn IMO.

Manhattan: Tupac. That disqualifies the borough from any list concerning wackness.

Bronx: Cradle of Hip Hop. Saying the Bronx is wack is just blasphemy to a Hip Hop head.

Staten Island: Sorry...short end of the stick. I like Wutang but, the other boroughs either had Star Artists or royal Hip Hop roots. Staten just got the bad hand. They're the worst.

just cuz hip hop "started" in BX dont stop it from being wack.

Its equally as wack as staten.

They get a pass from me for that....for life LOL

Even without that pass....Wu-Tang had a huge impact but, KRS-One & Big Pun ain't slouches either. You mine as well add DMX & The Lox to the Bronx too. Yonkers is a few blocks away from the Bronx city line.

Yonkers is not a few "Blocks" away from the BX its like a 20 to 15 minute drive....... And Yonkers is not NYC stop it....

But for the sake of this thread can we award X & the LOX to the BX. It doesnt feel right to leave them out

I know that. They're from Yonkers which is outside of the 5 boroughs, but w/ they're impact on NY hip-hop I'd hate to leave em off the list. BX is the closest borough to YO. Thats all I'm saying

While I consider what they do to be NY hiphop, I wouldnt group them in with a specific borough because that could lead to unnessesary confusion, just say they do NY hiphop and leave it at that. the LOX aint never rep'd shit but Yonkers so why would I as a fan lump them in with a hood just because they live close by? (lol yea shit like that is serious to us)
