Durant is just a taller t-mac. he's a better pure shooter than t-mac but his he still needs to get post moves and put some wight on him. I advise he watches old t-mac vids for offense

T-Mac skillset wuz scary. One of my favorite players in history. Had he stayd healthy we woulda been talkn a different story. KD added 10 pounds dis summer. And he has been workin on his post moves all off season. KD 6'10 wil be unguardable in hz prime.

BTW Derrick Coleman birthed the athletic PF that could dribble, pass and shoot in addition to posting up and rebounding, NOT KG

Its hard to say.....with the lack of depth at the Center position it kinda rules out all the great Centers from leagues past....I think the NBA knows that a primetime Guard/SF is more valuable from a business standpoint than a primetime Big....the NBA knows that in order to sell their product, u need highlight footage to back it up and u can only get so many highlights from a Big as a opposed to a guard who can do more things on the court....I also think Jordan kinda made it so that if u don't win as the "main guy" u won't get enough credit for it....and besides the Dream and Shaq, in the last 20 years, there's no big that was considered the best in the league unanimously tho u could argue Duncan but even then he wasn't clear cut....

I just think a great Guard would get more love than a great Big from a fans perspective, casual and hardcore fans alike

with the exception of kg, all the guys above were bigs who came into the league young with no real skillset aside from hunger and size. (kg was a bit more refined and more of a shooter) moses also can call any nigga who made the prep to pros leap his son as well

isiah/mo cheeks got
cp3
deron williams
derrick rose (tough pg who cut into the lane at will and has a defensive team built around that...like isiah)
rajon rondo (leaning more towards mo cheeks

dr j got
any fucking 2 guard that played the athletic wing with flair and attacked the basket
mike
lebron (really he has more in common with doc than magic. magic was pure court vision and iq with a little bit of athletecism)
clyde
mcgrady
g hill

gervin is still alive in players like durant

dominique got carmelo

bernard king got jamison (watch their playing style side by side, bernard was just better)

mchale got tim duncan

robinson got howard to an extent but lets be fuckin realistic, howard is shaq jr

sir charles got larry johnson boozer and other forwards playing above their size.

but the archtypes and influences aren't one and the same

lol all the title teams had a good big except for mike an them and they ran the center position by committee with about 3 7 footers on avg to do dirty work.
trust me the bigs aint goin no where.
back to the basket bigs are around, they just get drafted young and have to learn the post as they play

I agree all the title teams had a big who did exactly what they needed to do...I was referring to Bigs considered to be the best on their team as opposed to the Bigs who fit perfectly with what their championship team needed...there will never be a shortage of those types of players in the grand scheme of things

I would like to say that Duncan is definitely unarguably the best big in the L from 2001-2007ish

I will give you Dwight thats a really good comparison actually much better than Bill Russell, who I put initially.

You're right he starting preps to pros but we're talking skillsets

isiah/mo cheeks got

cp3

deron williams

derrick rose (tough pg who cut into the lane at will and has a defensive team built around that...like isiah)

rajon rondo (leaning more towards mo cheeks

Mo cheeks is perfect for Rono actually, I can't give you Deron or Rose with Mo Cheeks/Isiah Joint though (how do those two get lumped Mo cheeks offensive game was not nice...couldn't shoot, could guard, and make plays)

CP3 is a middle class version of Isiah I think. Isiah was so nice...he is my goat PG

dr j got

any fucking 2 guard that played the athletic wing with flair and attacked the basket

DOG Dr J wasn't anything remotely close to a two guard

Dr. J birthed like Dominque, gerald wallace, Josh Smith, Shawn Marion, any athletic wing with a long frame and no shot,

mike

lebron (really he has more in common with doc than magic. magic was pure court vision and iq with a little bit of athletecism)

clyde

mcgrady

g hill
none of these come from Doc sorry

gervin is still alive in players like durant

truth

dominique got carmelo

No way man Melo is unique

bernard king got jamison (watch their playing style side by side, bernard was just better)

GOOD ASS comparison actually

bird got dirk and all the other euro bigs

Euro bigs like dirk and bird? Who would that be, besides Bargnani?

mchale got tim duncan

(Some truth to this

robinson got howard to an extent but lets be fuckin realistic, howard is shaq jr

sir charles got larry johnson boozer and other forwards playing above their size.

This is true but damn don't disrespect chuck with weak ass boozer bruh

theres alot more subtle influences

but the archtypes and influences aren't one and the same

(patrick was howards mentor but wtf do they have in common?)

CHeck my responses in your post above...you were on with some but some were also off I think

Can't say I totally disagree with u, but I was referring to the best player overall, not just the best Big, that's a different list obviously....but look at Shaq, for example....in his prime, he was the most dominant big in the league by far and only 1 MVP to show for it although he was one of the main, if not the main reason, depending on who u ask, as to why the Lakers had a three peat....could Shaq have gotten the MVP all those years? Besides Iversons year in 01 I don't see why not....Iverson had more competition at his position than Shaq and was literallyy a one man team tho but Shaq had no equal at his position so I don't think too many ppl woulda been mad had Shaq won it that year....but Shaq had no fundamentals, and save for some monster posters he had no highlights yet he physically could not be stopped but that didn't matter.....the NBA just shows more love to the smaller guys from a marketing perspective imo

I agree with you, but I don't think Dream was ever the best player in the L, unless you count those 2 season's Mike was gone? You feel me?

Duncan was probably the best on the planet for a minute between Kobe and Shaq's runs again not very long similar to dream.

The league definitely likes guards better it's more fun for marketing because people relate to them better...not many 6'9-7;0+ walking around the world...

Thats a major problem with the L, they draft for fan fare and not wins...it's our responsibility as fans to care more about winning than which players can get you fantasy points man...

Fans used to be thorough not anymore
