That's why Eminem is the greatest Lyricist & Writer ever he will speak about personal things people relate to from topics such as poverty, love, parenting, family etc but say it using Multi's, Word Play, Story Telling that is perfect & catchy Hook's and the emotion in his Song's is un matched only people like 2pac & DMX have similar emotion, Eminem does concept's that have never ever been done in the past as well

Em lays it down on that emotional tip

See 2pac will make records that are personal topics like poverty, loving his mom, political issues etc with a lotta emotion

But when Eminem makes his deep, personal, heart felt records about his life on topics such as loving his daughter, poverty, relationship, family, love etc Eminem will use Multi's, picture painting Story Telling, amazing Word Play and Melodic Singing with catchy Hook's but with just as much emotion if not more then 2pac

It's that balance that Eminem has always had over others like Nas

It still applies... and in this def I'd go with Lupe's He Say She Say

It would apply if people can say with a straight face that Pac was a better lyricist than say...Lupe. But that's not the case. We can't apply the text book definition when dealing with Hip-Hop.

2pac is a million times better then Lupe though

Text book, text book, text book. You mean to honestly tell me if you walked into a room full of Hip-Hop heads they'd say that Pac is more impressive than Lupe at putting words together? Honestly?

if you're talking old school hip hop heads they might say Pac because they more than likely will feel him more then Lupe, i.e. the lyrical part

Nah I'm talking about people who can be subjective. I FEEL dmx more than I feel Lupe. But if I'm being real with myself, when it comes to spitting Lupe > Dmx.

Not at lyricism.

I don't want Lyricism only

I want an Artist that makes Song's about topics i relate to that are deep and heart felt but Lyrical too

Jay Z to me just put's words together and say's nothing apart from materalism and drug dealing with no emotion, story telling or substance

But Lupe is overrated

I agree... I just don't use the word Lyrical in reference to spitters

So in Hip-Hop, how do you define someone's technical skill of putting words together? What word do you use?

Lyric technique or better even Word play sounds bout right, that covers vocab, homophones, metas, similies, and double entendres
