I'm sorry I had to stop right there. Isn't the idea of a "younger more progressive church" a contradiction. Shouldn't your church in Bmore agree with my church in NY regardless of age, sex, race, economic background etc..... How can they have differing principles if they believe in the same God and follow the same book.

because people are different...
it's really jsut that simple....

ur expeirnce is going to differ from church to church regardless

The bible is simple. Man has taking it and spun it into thousands of differnt translations. This is why churchs under the same denomination or even non-denomination can vary so greatly in practice.

lol I lumped it all together. Everything from sermons to scrpture readings can differ greatly from person to person just as well as churches.

And truth be told alot of the things alot of churches say you can or can not do are not even mentioned in the bible. Alot of it is tradition based on someone's personal understanding or the context in which they took the scripture. Which is why I stress to people all the time. Read the bible for yourself and gain your own knowledge. Now im not saying you shouldnt fellowship because you should as the bible clearly says so. But im saying you dont have to take someone's word as God's law just because they think thats what God ment or what the Writer thought. Nothing is more fustrating to me than to see someone sit up in Church every Sunday and listen to the sermon and never even crack thier bible open, but turn around and profess they know God's laws and merit. Because if you dont try to grasp that knowledge for yourself you only know someone else interpretation of the Bible (Basic Instructions Before leaving Earth)
