Seriously besides him not being with us anymore? I've heard his product. And only about 5 percent of his beats my favorite rapper would spit on. Honestly if I wanted to hear jazz I would listen to al jarreau or Herbie Hancock. To me jdilla product sounds like a nigga who loves jazz and wanted to reproduce with a pinch of hip hop.

Not tryna derail the thread, but tech made better more relatable music when this kc producer don Juan was making his beats, prior to strange music, after the white dude Travis helped him start the label he started working with this other white producer named seven. Shit changed.

About dilla I do like some of his tracks, he's a producers producer if that makes sense a lot of nuances and soulful melodies over boom bap mostly. Not the first one who comes to mind when I think of dope producers, but can't take anything away from him, he was dope. rip
