What is Omarion doing wrong?

The same thing Marques Houston did wrong. His style is corny. I'm sure the girls think he's corny with that shag and that stupid ass crown shaved in his head. Dudes can't relate to that wack shit either. Trey Songz (good music and relatable), Ne-Yo (not really a fan but good songs), etc... He needs to just come out with a regular video (t-shirt and jeans) and stop with the hollywood shit because it doesn't work for him.

he's strugglin like a newbie when he pretty much had the world of urban pop and B in his hands for his first solo album. He had hella fans from b2k and new fans to gain. he was working with the neptunes in their prime...idk
I know making that transition from child artist to adult artist and being taken seriously can be difficult I just thought he had more staying power.

Artist like Omarion, Nicole scherzinger and Marques Houston etc because that are built on a formula and not real musical talent , the fans will always find someone to replace them with whatever is hot at a time. If their music was up to par and was timeless their fans wouldn't be so fickle. When artist like these are gone off the scene for a hot minute no one misses them.

Nicole Scherzinger actually does have talent. In fact, she was probably the best thing about PCD.

But, in her case though, I just think it was too soon for her to be releasing solo material. The public wasn't ready. She should've released one (or two) more albums with PCD before trying to branch out into a solo career.

Omarion's image is what hurts him the most, I think. Like others have said, he comes off as corny.

Yup. Omarion's best song was probably Ice Box. He hasn't made anything else worth remembering. I Get It In is terrible.

I would agree with his image is corny. And corny is what I think when I hear that Icebox song. His relationship with Bow Wow probably messed him up too. Bow Wow was being a diva at one point and that's when Omarion was good friends with him. Omarion is not strong enough to have a solo career. He only lasted as long as he did because of the fanbase with B2K.
