I can't define it, the answer is not the same for the people in my life as I love them all in different ways.

What I do know is that it is not that shit Disney wants you to believe it is and the sooner you learn that the better.

I aint trying to get into no religion debate or anything, but i'll just drop this here:

1 Corinthians 13:4-7

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

One day, I sat and thought about this. Like really broke it down and thought about every single word of it. This pretty much sums up the totality of what love is to me.

Love is an emotion when based on tangible, logical, and rational ideas can lead to great relationships and wonderful results in one's life.

Love is an emotion when based on intangible, illogical, and irrational ideas can lead to poor relationships and devastating results in one's life.

@AP21‌ posted what I was going to post....

But there are different kinds of love.

But at a macro level, they all are based on the mastery of selflessness brought about by infatuation for another, in my opinion.

as usual, my homegirl @Missk is on point

Sure they show when the prince finds Cinderella and gives her shoe back, but they dont show them arguing about her buying the shoes instead of paying the light bill

If, you cannot define it, then how do you know what it isn't.

I can say with all certainty the it can be what Disney's version is, perhaps not all the time but it can be. In fact I have experienced it, and live it day to day.
