The reason some drugs are illigal is because the govt cannot regulate and make money off it, or can't find an excuse to sell it.
heroin, comes from the poppy plant
marijuana, anyone can grow it in there back yard
cocaine, comes from the coco plant
there are lots of legal drugs worse than the ones I listed, the reason they are legal is because of money. the govt can regulate and control them. the govt makes money off of busting and prosecuting weed users and dealers. if it was legal people would just grow there own and if they sold it at stores it would be dirt cheap and never have the demand of alcohol and cigs cause its not addictive. they make more money off it being legal. its not outlawed because of it being bad, it is for financial reasons.
in the us. money has always mattered more than human life. just look at slavery, it existed because it was profitable, the same gos for drugs. the reason alcohol was unbanned was not because people were dying and organized crime was pushing it. it was because it was the depression and we needed money and once it was banned the demand for it rose exponentially, and the govt realized they had banned a cash cow they could regulate and profit off of.
weed used to be legal, as was cocaine, but they didn't make much money off it. so it was made illigal.
drug dealers are just doing exactly what the government would do if the drug was profitable to them... selling it. the same reason you weed isn't legal is the same reason no one sells bud light on the corner. its not profitable for a hustler sell beer.
its more profitable for the govt to have certain substances illigal than to have them legal.
