To answer the premise of the thread, Kobe's legacy is solidified but if anything other than accomplishment his longevity will enhance his legacy if hes able to carry on at this pace for a few years. He'll retire a Laker regardless.

Kobe the only one that gets diminished though. His legacy is solidified just based on his longevity alone. As a guard in his 17th season with probably the most wear and tear on his body in terms of minutes played. He is second only to Kareem in total playoff minutes and yall know how long that nigga was playing. What he is doing is really unprecedented especially for a guard. Actually it won't Lebron is like one of 7 players with MVPs, is about surpass larry bird in scoring with less games played, 3rd all time in scoring average . Yeah he is one of the top ten players to ever play already
