There too many crazies out here...gotta be more protective

Plus I think we are more aware of dangers than our parents were

i blame the internet for that...

i must say, ignorance truly is bliss...

cause i WISH i didn't know all the shit i know about HUMANS.

would be awesome if neighbors put in work to raise everyone's kid like back in the day.

Society overall has change unfortunately..Kids back then can be outside to a specific time frame..Once those pole lights come on.. Your ass suppose to be inside.. Now..times change.. People mindsets change overall.. You dealing with folks out here can take you or child's life 1,2,3. and they don't even care.. There's danger out there lurking and got to be more aware..

El Paso is too urban for all that.

In the "country" and in many suburbs, kids still have that freedome.

THey just lazy, they dont want to

Society as a whole has drastically changed. For most of us growing up, even tho drugs, gangs etc were still a threat, it was different. The mindset of the people was much different. You had people that looked out for each other on a greater scale. People today apathetic as all hell, don't give two shits about anybody else.

When I was growing up, everybody knew everybody and the adults would keep you in check and look out. Hell even a lotta the dudes that was doin dirt would be like "naw take yo ass to school". Nowadays adults stand by and video tape kids fighting. Social media has made it so we don't even interact with each other like we should to get to know who tf you living next to.
