Great post @Covet. I've worked with lower functioning teens as residential counselor. Those with more severe emotional or psychological damage often end up in treatment facilities in the care of negligent parents, or the state.
Those are the extreme cases however. But man, the files I've read and stories I could tell.

That's so sad to hear @covet and the thing about children with autism and especially (asperger) is that they are considered IQ wise geniuses. Heck a lot of super geniuses working in the science and tech field have some sort of autism. Genius is usually birthed by being alone and from people and not really a socialable person.

there use to be this little asian kid in my elementary who would sit in the corner all day with his hands over his ears and would attack anyone if you try to remove them..idk what happen to him though. Lol i feel bad that i use to fuck with him.

all the ones i knew got elected to public office. I'm just fuckin with you, like covet said, they ended up working as janitors or runners in the casino. They be happy as shit to bring out fresh bread and mop the bathroom floor. Some also do lawn maintenance, paper shredding, and laundry services.
I had a friend in elementary and jr high that was cool, played ball and seemed normal. We get to HS this nigga was getting out earlier every day, then I noticed all of his classes was in same room?? I was like what U doing in there! I had no idea he was slow until I start looking back at everythng over the years lol We're weren't friends anymore

Went to a primary school fulla them niggas...one of them died in class one day...they told us she was goin' home early...sometimes one of them just wouldn't show up to school...teachers thinkin' their slick tellin' us lies...don't kno about the other kids...I knew them goons were dead...
Saw one of them not too long ago...he wasn't super disabled though...he was carryin' shoppin' bags...guess he turned out alright

To this day he'll still say hi to me shocked me cuz i havent seen him in like 5 years until recently and he said hello with that slow voice. turn around and there he is with his gunslinger elbows walkin all funny.

That happened in high school during P.E. but the shit back fired.
Some dude was picking on a tard and tried to fight him, well, the tard went ape shit and beat the fuck out of the kid.
The kid was a known bully and was one grade level up.
