What Does Racial Progress Look Like?

came in here to say this. This is the only card left to play and it's worked before at varying levels. That's why it's puzzling why blacks don't use it. Whites have it perfected. A white dude kills a bunch of people; he's mentally ill. A black dude kills 1 person, he's a savage. They'll protect their own till their dying breath, no matter what. (Nothing wrong with that, that's how it should be as long as you have a leg to stand on) A black man gets a little success and moves his family to a part of town with better schools and he's a coon uncle tom. Then they say shit like "black people don't even want to live around black people". Well name one successful white person that's still in the trailer park. Racial progress looks like a unified front on all levels. If every dollar touched 2-5 people of said race before it exits the circle, you'd see undeniable progress.

Only thing about it is an up and coming Black person isnt moving otu the hood into a middle class black suburb or upper class black community, they are uprooting their family and moving them into a predominantly white community in order to satisfy the notion of moving on up.

does not stop people from differentiating from each other and forging

fallacious concept of race...it is to the benefit of these other groups to act according

to this philosophy and form protective ethnic enclaves....so it would behoove Black

people in America to do the same.

Numerically we are 43 million strong in this country that is the size of a european nation.

Not all black people move to predominantly white communities to "satisfy the notion of moving on up," but rather moving their children to a safer environment so that they might be exposed to better socioeconomic opportunities?

Lets just be honest here, safe middle class black suburbs/upper class black communities are few and far between.

Just because you're black doesn't mean you have to live around black people your entire life. That doesn't promote racial integration and harmony. Separatism is not going to solve anything.

So you mean to tell me that all these other ethnic groups jews, italians, mexicans, asians, irish, etc, etc with their protective enclaves [separatism] and relative upwardly mobile economic and political ambitions is is sheer coincidence compared to black people who practice the very opposite and getted stepped on and pimped out?

I'm glad I live where I live. The main thing that separates people is money.

As long as you're useful to the next persons bottom line (pockets), race is *typically* looked over for the "greater good".

I'm not saying it's all good, but things don't always revolve around the "black/white" dynamic.

Those things are what truly keeps blacks from rising to the top. Most of the country's racism cant just be "voted" out because its institutionalized and a part of America's core and identity. So true racial progress will be seen in the form of more minorities getting into a position (slowly but surely) to be able to pass wealth down to our kids so they have the same head start white kids get.

Til then, there will be no racial progress. A black president doesnt really mean much to blacks living in inner cities. Thats as moronic as saying sexism in Blue States is no longer an issue because HIllary Clinton almost got the nomination in 2008. Or xenophobia is no longer an issue because Minnesota has a muslim representative to the House.

It's gonna be a while imo, you have to think that we still have a generation from the civil rights era and contrary to popular belief we are still segregated in where we live, school system,etc.

If anything i think America will move from a racial based society to a class society like how the UK is. Class warfare is more of an issue than race right now.

When people think of equal thats equal as in comparison to what? White folks? I dont want to be like white or to proceed to work that I may live and act and do as they do because they are a self destructive parasite on the whole body called earth.

Its deeper than race because we existed long before the idea of race? Before the idea of nations and borders? Its about justice and its about harmony...simpatico. Our struggle is about justice not climbing to the point where white people are because we'll just turn around and become just like them and in truth many of us have already.

I was thinking more a socialist type of society in terms of egalitarianism, collectivism and community being stressed more. So much so that the disparity disappears not because minority groups have somehow managed to pull themselves out of the hole that white people pushed them into but rather because everyone has decided that unity is what is best for our success as a species.

Of course this would never happen for many reason.

People at the top of the hierarchy will do anything to remain there. And sadly they have the resources to do anything.
