For real??? Thats crazy... Whats it about???

Truth is there probably is no answer, you can post wack songs from rappers from every City, NY to fckn wherever... Plus its all down to taste...

Seems like y'all embraced the hyphy movement more than we did. And honestly hyphy music was really something for the kids.

I highly recommend y'all get updated on current Bay Area music

We do this every time y'all start trying to bash the bay area. Niggas can't name too many artist of the current gen of Bay Area rappers. Niggas stuck in the 90s and early 2000s when it comes to The Bay. G-Eazy putting in work. J. Stalin and the Livewire camp still has a huge following. Nef The Pharoah was getting radio spins out west. I just don't get y'all some times.

Niggas from Nowhereville USA stay hatin but they're favorite rappers fuck with the bay heavy

It's still shitty for the most part.

I've tried countless times, but I just can't rock wit The Bay artists like that. The sound, the slang, the style? None of it resonates with me. Too Short is the only dude I legitimately fuck wit. And it's funny cuz Pac has always been #1 to me, and his sound and style employs a lot of staples of the Bay.

*shrugs*

I've accepted it at this point. The shit just ain't for me.

First of all GURU repped Brooklyn. But yeah he was originally from the Bean.

I can't believe I forgot Benzino, but truthfully I think he did more to hurt the Hip Hop scene in Boston than help. RSO was one of the first rap groups in Boston, if not THEE first. They came out around 86/87 from my recollection but they never really blew up until he started messing with Eminem and then he was just known for beefing. I know he pulled some strings to get his album a 4.5 mic rating but otherwise Benzino/Made Men/Hangman 3 were never as good as the stuff coming out of NYC.

Terminology is cool but he doesn't make hits. When's the last time you heard a song from Terminology on the radio or in a club? I bumped into him one day outside of Penn Station across the street from Madison Square Garden. It was around midnight and he was hustling CDs. I respect his grind, but I wouldn't call him a first tier artist. Not yet anyway, he still has some work to do.

I will give the Bay some credit because I am a huge E-40/Coupe/Digital Underground/C-Bo all the other 90s rappers from the bay.

The new stuff is so far out in left field, I think only Bay area cats can appreciate it. Shit is like Bounce Music in Louisiana or Bass in Florida/Georgia. I love gogo but I can only take so much.

Yeah you are going to have a some joints that knock but for the most part it is a regional thing.

Put some respect on VirginiA name. Missy/Tim/Clipse/Neptunes. I like the new vibe VirginiA has too.

I couldnt careless if an artist has a radio hit, if that was the case I wouldnt listen to anyone lol The fact Term has tunes with Premo, Saigon, Prodigy, Kool G Rap, Crooked I, Bun B, Chris Rivers, Styles P, Westsidegunn etc a collbo album with Lil Fame and so on proves to me he is a 'top tier' rapper... Im not a big Benzino fan either but he has a few bars, but all the other dudes I named are imp DOPE MC's...

Yeah I've heard good things about Terminology, but admittedly I haven't listened to much of his music.

There's a website/blog thats always promoting him every time he drops a new product. Its called unkut.com

However, you can't say that, "Terminology put Boston on the map" in the same manner that Master P put New Orleans on the map or NWA put the West Coast on the map.

Bro you havnt even checked his music and youre down playing him??? lol Check his music, especially the collab with Lil Fame, dude is everywhere TBH and no one can really put any city on the map the way GOATS like Master P and NWA did anymore can they??? One reason being, well every city is on the map and rap game/scene is totally different... And if you checked Term's music you will see he reps the city though...
