nah if you wanted to root your phone without the phone company up yer ass "cough cough iphone cough" unlock some features, upgrade to android 2.1 etc.

meh. just looked it up. android version 1.5 that shit is old as hell. even the G1 has 1.6 the specs on the moto droid are better and so is the screen size.

Can't wait for this phone. My years of staying loyal to Sprint have paid off, lol. Fuckin' with the HTC Pro atm, but will cop that Evo 4g soon as it drops and where I live (Raleigh) is 4g capable already. :tu

Hope it releases early summer and not late summer (rumored to be released before June 6th). My phone needs to be replaced atm.. But think I might do that instead of waiting since not sure of when it's dropping.. The only negative IMO is that it doesn't have a slide out keyboard which I'm used to but my HTC Pro keyboard hasn't been working for like 2 months so I think I'll be fine without..

My contract will be up with Sprint at the end of July. I'm going to look at every available phone out there before i make my decision, but this one might make me stay with Sprint. They fooled me with the Instinct though, so i'm not going to rush into this one.

The Instinct never interested me for some reason.. This does though. But of course before I purchase I will take a good long look at what's available. I've been available for upgrade for a few months and can go to whoever I want but gonna take the wait and see approach but that Evo is looking very sweet atm.
