Yes, I was a huge procrastinator.

I started writing daily, weekly, monthly and yearly goals. I read them every morning as soon as I wake up and every night before I go to bed. Your goals must be clear and concise and they must have a deadline or you'll convince yourself that you'll get to it "some day". "Some day" never happens. Read "Focal Point"

I like this thread. I'll be back.

Just letting go of grudges. I don't sit around dwelling on shit. But if you ask me about certain people I have no problem saying fuck them.

As far as time management and procrastination. That's never been a problem B. Growing up my father got us use to being on time for everything. He is the type to be on time for everything even madd early. Growing up going on family trips he's be packed and ready a week in advance. Besides what I do for a living is all time sensitive and could cost thousands of dollars if late.

Yeah, I believe in writing things down too. I learned it from my boss.

Before he works, he writes down what he has to do for the day. Lists help. Alot.

Im getting toward my goals, but I always feel like I could be doing more. Well I know I can.

I'm 28. That feeling of "i've got all the time in the world" is gone. I know its time to get busy living, or get busy dying.

That pressure is good though.

one thing ive learned: being lazy is expensive.

too lazy to cook? eating out all the time is expensive.

too lazy for oil change? car repair is expensive

just a thought that helps me stay on point with that. maybe it'll help you

I'm working on not being so nice. I got a habit of wanting the best for everybody around me so I'll give or do anything for the people I love to better their situations and that line between helping and being used gets crossed far to often. I need to focus more on me and not worry about other folks.

I agree! We could always do more. I figured I'll bust my ass working towards my goals for 5 years and be free to live my life by design as opposed to just coasting through life taking the easy way out...accepting the minimum and living average like the majority. Life will not wait for us.

This is genius! It has helped me tremendously with everything. I call it the "whats worse" philosophy. LOL

I don't wanna work out. I say to myself "whats worse..working out hard for an hour or being unhealthy forever?"

Cosign everyone that said procrastination. This shit is a fucking disease.

Step on it then, this is advice to all procrastinators in the thread. Bullet your lists and achieve them before the week/month/year finishes and with yearly goals, break down key points in the same manner that software is developed, what do you need to do in alpha/beta stage to reach your finished product?

I'm about to start saving to emigrate in March, I have March as my start date because I need to pay off around $3,200 beforehand. I should pay this off by February, but I can't guarantee it, so I'm giving myself a month, just incase. Then it's a 17 month saving spree, saving $1000 minimum a month (hopefully closer to $1300). Otherwise, I'll never reach my end goal. I want to have emigrated by the time I'm 28 (max).

On some real sh**. Some things that you want to better that would help you advance in life.

I think procrastination is my biggest setback. That and time-management.

Has anyone dealt with these issues and how did you overcome that

those are my two biggest set backs.

seems like alot of people struggle with this.

i wonder why?????

It really is a backwards way of thinking too if you think about it. You put something off so you can chill or just not worry about it. Insteads of just getting it done and being able to chill and not worry about it.
