Homeowners are winning though, at any time they can sell their house for 3x what they got it for and go live like a king in the souf.

yeh but unless u 50+ u missed that boat playa..

The beauty about real estate is no matter the market, there is always someone willing to buy that dream. I used to be in the construction/rehab game. If you dress it up and sell a mf that fantasy you will always prosper. On the high end of the game, yeah you late to invest. Solely because it's an established property. But at the bottom, you can take a condemned structure, put 20 k into it and pocket almost 3x profit. Land will never depreciate. It's about what goes on the lot. That's all that matters.

Phoenix prices >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Cali.

What's crazy is that there's houses just as big out here in the $500k range as well, prolly lower than that.

The rent is cheaper in AZ then MD and you get much more. I am still looking at AZ as a potential moving spot. Want to visit first one day. Better homes for lower cost.

Oh word, you grew up on the drive.

But yep, all those properties over there are going for a nice piece of change and when they go ahead and build on the old steel mill site it's going to be ridiculous. I copped my house for $116k and the rest on my block going for 200k and up

Well something like that. We got that house when I was in high school. Technically, I grew up in Woodlawn.

Hawaii is worse. I saw a couple places that looked like chicken coups and they were over a mil. The beach front shit basically costs the GDP of some third world countries.

-_-

lol HI is pretty much my favorite place I ever visited, but that shit is prohibitively expensive. I don't see how people do it.

Same, lucky for me I was young enough to not have to worry about money but it's like that cause it's paradise, literally so it makes sense. Inglewood, CA? Haaaaa

When I was in Kissimmee, FL, this summer I was seeing 5 BR lakefront houses in the ~300s Meanwhile in the DMV, if you want to live on the Potomac, the starting price is your soul.

Okay so lets be real. There some questions that need to be asked.

How are the schools in that area?

What is the resale of that area?

Median income is high or low?

How close am I to the city center and my work?

Traffic?

So in Atlanta, The majority of the good jobs, good schools and good shops are above Hwy 78 in the perimeter. Midtown, Buckhead, and across North Cobb, North Fulton, North Dekalb, Gwinnett, and close to Lake Lanier. Shit is almost a virtual line. Peachtree city area is an exception but only because of the Airport. Search Zillow. There are literally 10 homes with 2 bedrooms around $100, 000 above hwy 78. While below Hwy 78..............................too many to count.

There are little pockets of stuff in the south ATL metro that is decent but the real money is north. You buy a house outside of that zone and most likely you are taking a risk. The risk is you become Clayton county and lose your accreditation. You become Henry and Rockdale county and have a abundance of section 8 housing become available because of the housing bubble. South Dekalb, South Cobb and South Fulton is a victim of simply being suburban areas in decline.

All of the real skilled jobs are in the Northern half of the ATL metro with Porsche, the airport, and maybe Amazon being the pockets of real skill labor. The rest is transportation or warehouse jobs that simply are low paying compared to IT jobs that pay an average of $75,000.

Do the same in your area?
