McDonalds is already losing. Let Wendy's do this and they'll lose as well. The fuck I look like getting some food made by a robot. These motherfuckers act like we don't have plenty other options out here besides their horrible ass food. Like it's hard to cut out McDonalds or Wendy's.

There will be few chains who actually will have humans working in the food industry. Most of the humans will be your greeters and to make sure everything is running smooth. If Wendy's does this, then so will every other major fast food chain. They'll make bucks because of how cool people will find it.

Can't wait to see that shit in progress. People have trouble making up their minds dealing with humans imagine them dealing with robots. Hopefully this will make us actually want to prepare meals at home again. That would be the biggest screw you to that industry. People stop going to these restaurants and cook at home.

I dont necessarily think doubling what low skilled workers make is the answer. All that would lead to is higher prices to make up for it and other consequences. As was already said improving skills is the better option. Because depending on Wendys to pay you big has serious flaws. All the places with the highest minimum wage tend to have the high cost of living too thats how it goes. I do support raising the minimum wage to a managable 10 though for the common good. It used to raise every so often but its been 7.25 for a ridiculous amount of time. Since I stopped eating beef I dont deal with any of them too much anymore anyway.

Stop letting these corporations and lobbyists pimp you.

Minimum wage workers haven’t seen their pay go up much in the past 50 years, but that doesn't mean they're less valuable to their employers.

The chart below from the New America Foundation, a non-profit public policy institute, shows that worker productivity has in fact skyrocketed even as the real minimum wage (which is the minimum wage adjusted for inflation) has seen slow growth.

The New America Foundation report adds to the growing body of evidence that workers are getting squeezed while companies profit.

The minimum wage would be $21.72 an hour if it kept pace with increases in worker productivity, according to a March study by the Center for Economic and Policy Research.

Last quarter, hourly pay for non-farm workers saw the biggest drop since the Bureau of Labor Statistics started keeping track in 1947, even as corporate profits have soared to a record.

In fact, low-wage workers are largely employed by large, highly profitable companies, according to an analysis last year from the National Employment Law Project.

And that's just minimum wage. The same applys even more so to middle class wages and salaries.

Wendy's can afford to pay the $15 hour. They're just being greedy like most corporations are. Instead of being happy with a $1 Billion profit, these corporations will rob, steal, & kill for a $1.1 Billion profit.

corporations are not going to choose to make less money for the public good we can either learn to live with it and adapt or cry and do nothing

Never said they would. I'm just showing how easily they could.

I knew that it wouldn't take long for you to come and defend this right wing nonsense.

WHY IS IT NONSENSE TO MAKE MONEY.

Look, THIS Change could be better for the consumer anyway. if robots make the food then there should be less risk of people spitting in the food we could get our fast food quicker cleaner and more efficiently.

you worried about people spitting in your food because your belligerent ass is the type to berate the fast-food workers before you order

That's a bad thing.

in the long term it would cost more to maintain the robot. preventative maintenence and 24hour correctives cost money.

What Im gettin at is a bottom of the totem pole job is just that. You cant raise the amount people make there to save them. The cost of living will just go up to compensate they will still be at the bottom without bankable skills. Thats how economics work. Trying to make a bottom job something else is the error. It is what it is. Seems simple to me maybe im just fortunate to understand the reality. But again I do support raising minimum wage but not to where it begins to have negative consequences and backfires due to inflation and inevitable higher prices.

Sounds like issues typically prompted by low morale... low morale usually caused by inadequate pay... inadequate pay that can be corrected by raising wages.
