now u sounding like a super dumb nigga

ur over here acting like wayne was a worldwide star in 97, then u are a dumb nigga fosure

in 2008 wayne had a us billbord 1, that is his most successful album to date not only in the US, but all around the world...before this album wayne was unknown around the world. fat joe was more famous than this nigga outside of america....cater 3 is the album which made him a megastar.

waynes started to get heavy buzz around 2005...then 2008 was his year...now the niggas star will fade like all the other niggas who came before him

now stop talking like a dumb nigga,

fam you tryna make it seem like this nigga was nobody when his first album went double plat, and every album after that went plat except 500 which did like 950k or some shit

I wasnt saying that nigga was Britney Spears status back then

i think u misunderstand

put is this way prior to 2008 nobody mentioned lil wayne in the same breath as Jayz and Em....

50 cent dropped GRODT in 2003 nigga sold over 6 mil...Wayne dropped the Carter in 2004 shit never even came close in sales....Wayne was not in the big leagues untill 2008, that's the year white people discovered him

thesynthesis is tellin th truth. after a jaz-z co-sign, the dedication mixtape and the carter 2 he started to get hot but he still wasnt no superstar like status. his first real solo hit was block is hot but before that he was just the "young cute one" n/h from the hot boyz. the main things that blew him up was the carter 2 (which i think but could be wrong gillie had his hand in) then the mixtape where they went and sued the dudes who put it out and i cant front on the jaz-z co-sign. then some tracks here and there that dropped added to his growing buzz. he pretty much flooded the market after that then people started to pay attention. but in '97 he was contained solely to a few states down south. the universal deal aint come till '99 so they was still independent in '97. all of this best rapper alive stuff was sold to fans along the way.

wow only in the reason. wayne is not that nice. but what ever

I agree with the Underlined, but the bolded is bs. Wayne is a fucking superstar, dude has invaded the hood AND the burbs. In actuality, he gets more love in real life than on the reason.

Niggas need to get it thru their thick skull that Wayne is a legend as of today period. How many rappers can say they're top 5 relevant past their tenth year of their career?

Notice how he said top 5 relevant, not top 5 skilled....

But I see what your saying

Why people act like Wayne going platinum and Gold during the hot boys era, was on his own merit? 400 Degreez out sold every Lil wayne album, pre Carter 3, combined. That nigga was just riding the Hot Boy wave that Juvenile made popular.
