Who's not going platinum w/ the chronic cosign, deep cover track, and gin n juice single BEFORE the 1st album was dropped. Snoop was a terrible example for you to post. Snoop was WELL KNOWN before his album dropped. He wasn't local like Pac and Jigga. Cali was the dominent region of hip hop.( I also mentioned this in the 5th sentence of my post you quoted). And as far as Dre, his debut solo album was after NWA after he wasn't local anymore. I just don't understand how you are a physic and KNOW exactly what the future was goin hold with all the artist in the industry. Tupac was on tour with Master P before he died. Outkast and Goodie Mob was out. Therefor the south would still be around. No one man can controle the industry.

bull6599;1493371 said:I find the comparison b/w Pac & Jay concerning their debut album funny b/c shit is kind of a double standard.
1.) RD is dubbed a failure b/c it had BIG & Foxy featured on the album and it had a hit single but only went gold much like Pac's debut album. It was said that both were only local/regional artist @ the time but Jay was the more known of two. I guess were going to act like The Vice President of the United States Dan Quayle didnt condemn Pac's debut album as "havin no place in our society" on nat'l TV and even went as far as to have Time Warner, Interscopes parent company, drop the label for releasing the album. How much more publicity can u get on a national level.
2.) It was said RD shulda sold more b/c it's Jay's best album. Isnt this the same forum that always sayin record sales dont mean shit? By logic The 2 albums that are widely perceived to be his best (MATW & Makaveli) arent his best album b/c they arebnt his highest selling. That would mean AEOM is his best whiel most ppl rank that as his 3rd best album @ best.
I love Pac's music. Dude is top 5 DOA IMO & he def deserving of the GOAT title if u so choose to bestow it upon him. His spot in history is solidified...but w/ that said some niggas just take their love for Pac too goddamn far!!!

UPTOWN (CONNEXX);1491791 said:actually thats false ... pac was well known when his album dropped ... but either way ... pac didnt even go gold on his first album ... jay had his features and did ... so whats the arguement here?? both albums would have sold about the same amount if jay didnt have the features
bull6599;1496153 said:Of course he did...nobody w/ common sense can deny that. He was the hottest hip hop artist on the planet period!!! W/ that said some niggas act like u cant buy more than 1 album or like more than 1 artist @ a time.
Sovo_Nah;1493724 said:pac had too much of a load to carry. he was pro-black, but he also had to be the voice because he came after, and just after, "THE MOVEMENT"
25centsandwich;1498042 said:lol at these jigga warriors makin stupid ridiculous arguments....while pac fans just say look at influence/legacy/numbers.
mawkdawg;1498145 said:Im a Pac fan to the death, but dont yall realize Pac was trying to unify hip-hop before he died w/Death Row East + he was fucking w/Face & niggas from the South. The nigga just went at niggas who talked shit or he felt disrespected him. Furthermore at that time Pac was on top at the time of his death that nigga had a crazy following worldwide. I just think when him & Big died it was kinda like when the respected, intelligent mob boss or leader of a gang dies then everybody fighting for the top spot but the new leader dont respect the old values hence niggas get crazier & start killin 4 dumb shit & fighting amongst each other. But Pac wouldve most likely been on some other shit like politics cuz he really cared about people; black, white, asian whatever...
c1up;1498150 said:*smh* Yeah Pac for Politics
ptowndonte;1490989 said:I mean niggas always down other rappers success with a comment about Pac...
"Uh, if Pac was alive, Jay-Z would not have 11 platinum albums"
"If Pac was alive, there would be no such and such"
"Pac would not allow Eminem to be successful"
Ya'll niggas act like nothin in the rap game was done unless Pac put his stamp on it
I guess the nigga could have brought our troops back home too huh?
