my point is u think they lettin 10 year old kids listen to 10 crack commandments or yellow submarine?

i praise any kid who is listening to Biggy and Pac because they were not force fed the music, they had a choice... similar to how i had a choice to listen to nwa and cube, no white teacher force fed me that or made me sing it in school

no one who likes music ever listens to something they were force fed ... no one ever becomes a fan of the songs that you sing while in music class at elementary school

you were saying the beatles were being compared to pac etc etc etc which isnt even true. white people dont love pac so much that they'll put him up there with their favorite group ever ... come on cuzzo

Juicy was a lie, he was talking about remember when I use to eat sardines for dinner like he was broke, his own mother said that was a lie.
He always lied on his mother, Biggie was a spoiled kid that was a honor roll student, he choose to be a drug dealer, he didn't have to be one like he claimed.
Whatever man I'm not going to argue with u, u believe what u want to believe.

Everybody CHOSE to sell drugs, that shit is not madatory for anybody

so you dont recall the song starting off with him tryin to hustle to feed his daughter. biggie wasnt spoiled ... he was just an only child ... its not like his moms was rich or something. and what the hell does the honor roll have to do with anything .... the drug dealer alpo was also an honor roll student when he lived with his foster parents. everythings not just cut and dry like you trying to make it sound

biggie didnt even finish school ... so obviously he went thru hard times when he first had his daughter

biggie rarely talks about his childhood ever in his songs ... what the hell are talking about

biggie isnt even my favorite rapper but got damn at least call it like it is LOL

Pimpn, Snoop Dogg was heavily featured on the Chronic album before doggystyle was released. Who's not going platinum w/ the chronic cosign, deep cover track, and gin n juice single BEFORE the 1st album was dropped. Snoop was a terrible example for you to post. Snoop was WELL KNOWN before his album dropped. He wasn't local like Pac and Jigga. Cali was the dominent region of hip hop.( I also mentioned this in the 5th sentence of my post you quoted). And as far as Dre, his debut solo album was after NWA after he wasn't local anymore. I just don't understand how you are a physic and KNOW exactly what the future was goin hold with all the artist in the industry. Tupac was on tour with Master P before he died. Outkast and Goodie Mob was out. Therefor the south would still be around. No one man can controle the industry.

People seem to forget that Pac was cool with Goodie Mob too, it's a video on youtube, Pac was in the studio recording The One Nation album and they came in, he was like get them some chairs and some drinks.
Pac was not joking when he said he was bringing everybody together. When he lived in Atlanta his manager was Block, the same Block that is behind Boyz N Da Hood and Gorilla Zoe, Pac was everywhere.
It's also a video of Pac rehearsing with The Outlawz for that tour with Master P.

Speaking as Pac fan i can say rappers Nas, Jay etc would still be in the game.

However a rapper as prominent as Pac would take rap in to a different direction and change the course of music. That's what great artists do, they start movements and lead.

Everyone wants to copy and collab with the king, Pac was king thats a fact, he ruled in his time.

Jay said he felt "cheated" that Pac and BIG died because he never got to hang with the best of them. Its like when Tommy gun wins the title in Rocky 5, but the fans are still cheering for retired "Rocky"

In the last 14 years of Pacs death there have been many 2pac clones in all shapes and sizes, his style of music, content, image and life was fascinating thus why he inspired many dope ( e.g J Cole) and wack ( e.g Waka Flocka) rappers to come.

Would Jay have sold millions upon millions of records? who knows. Would Jay be still be rappin? yes

I still believe that rap music as a whole would be in better shape with Pac, as he brought something to the table which know other rapper has been able to mimic...

Agreed. I still think Pac would've got popped eventually though (97-98). I just wish Suge had navigated it better so that the whole West Coast didn't have to suffer the loss. Suge burnt so many bridges and made so many miscalculations it just fucked everything out there up. It's like a long lost island of the past now.

thesynthesis;1491696 said:
Suge singly handedly fuckd up the westcoat rap scene

Pac would not have survived to see the millennium, he was dead man walking whichever way he turned...he played all his cards

Your being way too hard on Suge the Politics of the rap game was going through a Dynamic Change and the seat of Power in regards to the Mainstream and Music Industry was in Flux. The West Coast 1st with hammer then With Gangsta Rap had taken over the Main Stream pop Market a seat that traditionally has Been Held By New York. Interscope a then WestCoast Label was Challenging and Beating its competitiors because of Pac and Deathrow and that was where the real Eastcoast Westcoast war was. Deathrow and all of its west coast affiliates ended Up more of a scapegoat and sacrificial Peace Offering to Guarantee Jimmy's Seat in The grand Scheme of Shit with the rest of the EastCoast record Heads...

Most definitely. Pac was doing waaayyy too much and in 94 it set the stage for his end. I give Pac his Thug application and T.H.U.G. Philosophy credit, but Pac was no Gangster & he should not have been shocked about what happened in NY. Yes the rape charge was a set up, but the robbery had nothing to do with the Government, he was just out of his league and hung around with, associated with, accepted gifts from & rejected the wrong people at the wrong time.

Nevertheless, another real Gangster and friend avenged him in death. So even though he wasn't one, at least he was loved by some. That seems to be part of what he wanted. He will forever be respected by his closest peers, comrades & associates. He was MOB.

"Will yo homies riiiidddee, or will they all get high, and talk about how ya died?"

-Makaveli

Not alot of neutral Ground in this thread you Have The Stans Of Pac and then the Biggie/Jigga NYC Stanbase all pushing the envelope to extremes. It is is Interesting to note How Geographic Location and age sets a standard for each of these Groups and their Arguments. I Quote 2 of the more level Head HipHop fans at least as far as the course of the quote chain was concerned...
