I agree with this and have stated it before. I really don't see room for EM with Pac still around in 99. From the way things were going and from what was being said, a truce would have been called and the U.S. Rap landscape effectively merged by 1997. However, Pac would have still been a target for elements larger than the streets & Rap Game.

So it's more than likely that he wouldn't have made it to EM's debut anyway.

Master P was cool with the Death Row camp and a big fan of Pac with the second greatest indie pull in the Bay behind Sick Wid It. No Limit was good regardless. They was the bridge between West and South & Rap-A-Lot has always been solid in the South, Midwest & West.

Speaking as Pac fan i can say rappers Nas, Jay etc would still be in the game.

However a rapper as prominent as Pac would take rap in to a different direction and change the course of music. That's what great artists do, they start movements and lead.

Everyone wants to copy and collab with the king, Pac was king thats a fact, he ruled in his time.

Jay said he felt "cheated" that Pac and BIG died because he never got to hang with the best of them. Its like when Tommy gun wins the title in Rocky 5, but the fans are still cheering for retired "Rocky"

In the last 14 years of Pacs death there have been many 2pac clones in all shapes and sizes, his style of music, content, image and life was fascinating thus why he inspired many dope ( e.g J Cole) and wack ( e.g Waka Flocka) rappers to come.

Would Jay have sold millions upon millions of records? who knows. Would Jay be still be rappin? yes

I still believe that rap music as a whole would be in better shape with Pac, as he brought something to the table which know other rapper has been able to mimic...

Which is balance, truth and realness, without no punches and the ability to reach the masses black and white....

He had a gift to touch on any topic he liked and put out any song soft, hard, emotional etc...and it'd still be played by everyone. He was not a one trick pony, multi dimensional artist, which is very rear to find these days.

When people talk of Pac they always mention his different personalities, some call it contradicting nature (human nature), Gangsta Pac, Fun Pac, Conscious Pac, Militant Pac....

His death was a loss for music, I believe he had more to give and if he had lived into his 30's and matured and knew where his power was he'd be unstoppable in whatever conquest he'd decide to fulfill.
