If I was Daryl i'd say im Negan bruh. This nigga Negan really like Daryl and want him on his squad. i'd say im Negan just so I could live the good life for a lil while, then work my way up to being his second in command, start planting shit in his head/telling lies about some of the other members just so Negan will kill them. Then i'd get cool with some of the other members of the gang and eventually put a squad together to take Negan down.

I wasn't reading something talking about Daryl was sending Rick Messages in mores code by the way he was blinking his eyes and looking at him. Basically telling Rick that the Saviors are holding him captive to the East of where they are

Rick and Negan are the same intellectual wise and opposite sides of the coin. Rick knows he's too weak to oppose Negan but the rest of Alexandria thinks like y'all, (that he could go to war). You'll find out later that Negan is much smarter than you think. He allows himself to be open purposely. He caught Daryl with the psychological shit too and out smarted Alexandria last season. Rick is playing chess not checkers and right now he's just a pawn trying to make his way to King/Queen although some ppl see him as a knight/bishop on the board.

He had Carl captive at one point. Carl snuck into one of the trucks when they came for a supply raid. Carl kills a few of Negans men and had planned to kill Negan but Dwight beats the shit out of Carl. Negan keeps him alive to taunt Rick. He likes Carl, a lot.

Eventually, Carl ends up back w Rick and his storyline progresses forward.

Seeing what happened this last ep. wouldn't be surprised to see it go this route, w Carl trying to save Daryl, too.

Carl bossin up was cool, Daryl refusing to speak was cool, u could see the stuff with Rosita was alotta set up, (cool to see her actually doing stuff tho) Shane call back was GOAT, the mind fuck of burning the beds was g and the dick down the throat comic reference was cool. nh

I'm sorry, Negan shouldn't have made it out alive. Rick's group had plenty of guns. They were outmanned, but most of Negan's group was preoccupied carrying mattresses and sofas. Negan spent the whole episode out and the open unguarded. Ricks group should have taken them all out and dealt with the consequences. Negan's group lives or dies by him, so killing him would have been a major blow in Rick's group's favor.

I'm assuming y'all haven't read the comics. Negan has men stationed outside the camp while men are moving inside the camp and he is a necessary evil that the story needs. I can't wait till he bonds with Carl. I think he sees a bit of Carl in himself.

He would have been 6 ft below with a bullet in his head if that's what Carl decided he wanted to do. Dude relies almost solely on fear and has supreme faith that it will never fail. One encounter with a person that truly does not give a fuck and Negan would be nothing.

I agree with you that those dudes aren't good guys with or without Negan, but you can tell Negan is the one that makes them a scary force. Keep in mind that before Negan got involved, Rick and the crew had come out victorious in every encounter with the Saviors. I think if someone had killed Negan and the rest of the town had fought back and taken out the rest of the people there, Alexandria, the Hilltop, and Ezekiel's group could have teamed up to clean up the rest of Negan's people. In Rick's defense though, he doesn't know about Ezekiel yet.

I feel that. But in Rick's defense, after the shit from the season premier, it's no longer about his group 'beating' the other group. It's about making sure that his people live.

Yeah, he could have popped Negan and Alexandria could have fought back. But not without some of his people paying the price. And I think it's pretty clear that, until now, they've faced off against small splinter groups of saviors and the B-team.

Now they fucking with the starters.
